Your best bet would be to check with the VA Education Dept.

 

Not sure if I'm being dense here, but: Why talk to a trucking Co about eduction financing? You'd be better off looking up, and talking to the trucking schools. The V.A. may have answers, but you'll have better luck, and quicker responses by dealing with the school's financial aid rep. keep in mind too the need for room and board. Lotta the schools have deals with the hotels, but it's still a contingency to prepare for.
Talking to a company first will put ya in the crosshairs of their "headhunters". Many are on par with Army recruiters. They'll pick and choose which info to volunteer, but are guaranteed to push their company school (if it has one) and financing plan. Such gimmicks are usually provided after signing a contract, and you DON'T wanna sign with a co that trys to get you obligated to stay.

 

It would not necessarily be the trucking companies that accept it, but the trucking schools that would.
At a trucking company such as Schneider or Swift its free as long as you remain for 12 months.

May I suggest that you find a trucker that is a friend, and have him / her help you get your cdl, then go to one of the big 3 and get about 6 monthe=s exp, and kick them to the side.
