TransAm Trucking On my way ...

YEA!!!! Things have worked out where I can actually spend part of Thanksgivng with family. A niece I haven't seen since dad died. Looking foward to it!!!!

 

This is not be a good move on their part as most drivers with experience no how bloody awful the TA lease program is! They really need to scrap the whole lease idea and start over. Have a great thanksgiving PF!

 

My thanksgiving turned out pretty good. Lots of good food and conversation and got to meet my niece's husbands family. Seem to be good people. The sister was drop dead gorgeous. *sighs* If I was only 25 years younger and 50 lbs lighter.

I've been trying to understand why some drivers say they can't make money as a L/O with Trans Am and you hit it on the head. As a new business, you have to keep the wheels turning for a good while before taking a break. To stop making money by taking home time and have the truck payment still coming at you is not smart as a new business. It took two weeks to start to recover from what I lost by taking home time. Hitting the house once a month is too soon as a new lease operator unless you live in a central area and just stopping by for a night with the load.

Gotta plan on staying out for a good while and running 62-65 mph to conserve fuel and fill that fridge up with walmart cause eating out all meals is spending too much money. At least until you get used to how the money is flowing and how good business is certain times of the year.

Thats the price you pay to make a lease plan work. You gotta do a lot of work to make the numbers right to bring home good money.

That truck is like a big baby that you have to do everything for and your weekly statement is like that baby crying to you telling you it needs more to make it happy so you will be happy with that money.

 

I just got approved for orentation and they said they have some mt company trucks. I also have a offer from a small company called Value Express. Have a discision to make.

 

Well if you come here, I'd make sure I get that in writing and signed by the senior staff, if you can. JMHO

 

If u really think hitting the house once a mth causes u to lose money,then i feel sorry 4 u.You can be home on every weekend from running the road & still bring n big bucks. I don't know what good money is to some of u guys these days,but if u r out on the road that much as an L\O & not netting $2200 or more. Then u guys r getting RIPPED OFF & need to do some more research & talk 2 more experience o/o. I am an o/o & haul containers & i like it very much. almost 4 yrs now & i average $1600 take home,working 4 days a week just running to pittsburg,pa from balti,md & home daily & off every weekend. One pittsburg,pa trip pay right now is $716,miles r 251 one way,31,105lbs. i clear $416 a day with no problem & there r other drivers making more than me,but they run longer miles which is what they like doing. I JUST WANTED TO GIVE THE NEW 2 O/O GUYS A SAMPLE OF WHAT CAN B MADE THESE DAYS.pittsburg,pa use 2 pay $100 more,but rates r droping everywhere.THAT T A LEASE IS A RIP OFF. U R PAYING SOMEONE 2 WORK. I u choose trans am please be a company driver.GOOD LUCK

 

Guess Transam ios trying to set a new record in driver turn over. Figure they must be trying to hit 200%. Not only are drivers now considered thieves and incompentants, with policies in place for that but..... now the company itself must be considered the same. Why???? They have now decided to start annoying drivers, 2 months in advance, every stinking day, that there is a PM due on your trk or trl. Its a shame that senility has hit the senoir staff and they figure that all the drivers must have it also.
Would not, could not, will not, in all good conscience, recommend these bozos to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
