No difference than if you have a FERRARI or ROLLS ROYCE car, it is something you sort of know up front when you buy a VOLVO with all VOLVO drivetrain.

Not going to be any different when KW / PETE are all PACCAR ,

 

there are DAF trucks with all PACCAR....

IMO, for company to own a truck with Cummins ore CAT is better.

 

Not many DAF trucks here in NORTH AMERICA just seems like a lot of DAFT TRUCK DRIVERS suffering from LNBH syndrome.

 

Automatic trannies are typical for communist countries where there is no O/O just company drivers who can't drive. So Euroland loves them as they love throw away trucks which they keep up to 3 years and they worn out so they sell them to Africa.

Now, if you go to the Volvo dealer, he will never have any parts in stock (even belts) but will offer you next day shipping (for which you pay). This is Euro maker approach, remember, there is no O/O overthere, they are extincted species.

Thats why Volvo had 25% of US market and today they have 16%. Even big fleets learned their Euro lesson

 

I wanna have truck I can fix in any workshop. this year there was a big problem with i-shift C version clutch servos. lack of parts! we had to wait more then week!

Yes as a driver they can be a nice truck. As a owner/driver/MECHANIC/parts chaser. No more for me thanks. They are a major pain to work on.

 

for me its more than u need to work in looks like a rv inside.
