Does anyone have any new info on henderson trucking? I was thinking of makeing a switch to their otr company fleet, but havent heard any thin on them for a while. Last I heard they were kind of a bad about miles but they are close to where i live. Any info?? If not does anyone know any other companies around the central or western illinois area? thanks

I loved Henderson when I worked there in '05/'06. Regional out of Ca./Az. Home every W/E. But, Pardner, this is 2010 and I can't really give you any current info. I believe they did away with the regional thing, but not sure. Paychecks were right on, equipment was nice and dispatch was great. Good luck.

DO they run mainley freightliners?

i am currently with henderson trucking out of salem illinois they kind of have a small yard but they opened one in saint louis. you get the miles and if you live in the southeastern part of illinois you will always get a load out of owensboro ky and deliver it mainly to california. we dont run the east coastbot to florida and georgia and also to new jersey. our equipment is mainly freightliner cascadias and columbias and there is a rumor we will get t700. all the equipment comes with a carrier apu chains for the winter and a oil tank on th back of the truck in case you run out.at the facility is average and maintenece is greatoverall i give them a 8/10

its like a oil thing when your oil is low you press a button connected to it and there is a tube under the truck that is connected to the oil and it give it oil.its hard to explain

It's an oil reservoir, mounted on the left rear of the truck, on the cab. It holds 5 gallons of oil, when needed you add oil by pressing the button as Mike said, and the oil is pushed to your motor via tubing that runs to it. Saves you from buying oil.
We run Midwest to west coast, and to east coast, mainly PA, NJ and I guess some southeast to GA.
Miles are there for the most part, kind of slow right now. Teams run hard, doing a lot of Con-Way to the west coast.
I am a solo, go where I am sent, but prefer going east, which sometimes actually happens.
They are neither the best nor the worst job I have had, but things being as they are I won't leave anytime soon. I get to take my dog with me, which is a big plus.

I forgot to add, company equipment at this time is all Freightliners, Columbias with different size sleepers, the Cascadias go to the lease drivers.
All trucks have APU's on them.
Miles as I said are not too bad, some weeks better than others. Don't forget, this is a reefer outfit, you will be sitting at food warehouses, that eats time.
We run elogs, and they are getting better at dispatching you on them. -

yep, you are right, you can lease a Columbia. Or be a company driver in one of those. Cascadias are strictly lease unless you are one of the couple of company drivers left in one of those.
