check the fuse going to the ecm--on a shaker it is usually in or around the battery box---look for a red and a brown wire---
or check the connections on these 2 wires at the battery
good luck -
EPS? engine speed? can you check your engine with computer?
DEEC-iV ore DEEC-V? -
What he said. ^^^^^^^
There is a fuse or relay that trips, especially if there is a power surge from jump starting or loose conection at the battery box. -
CEL? do you see CEL for 2 sec when you turn ign on?

Their is also an inline fuse some where up under the dash all by it self. I had this happen be for. Had a local shop let me use their shop manual. The manual gave me the number on the wire( All wires in the truck were the same color. every wire had its own number printed on them) and I traced it through the fire wall up under the dash. Their was a blade type fuse all by it self inline. Another time the same wire corroded right where it goes into the plud at the ECM. Also had the main power wire in the battery box corrode at the battery. Their is also an inline fuse there. Either way it sounds like you have no power to the ecm.

maybe check the plug going into the ecm--sometimes you get techs who dont have a multi meter ramming there test light into the connectors--and it spreads them open enough to make poor contact

I had one do this years back. Check the srs and Trs ? sensors. One is behind the air compressor on the back of the front cover of the engine. The other is lower down on the block ,I believe. there will be a bolt that holds them in. They have an o-ring on them also. That is probably what it is. Just tell the parts guy you want the 2 timing sensors for a 60 series and he will know what you mean. They used to be like 45 bucks each. Hope I explained this ok.
I found a link to them on ebay, hope it is ok to post this if not please edit.
