I'm assuming we have no choice which truck we drive when signing on with Roehl as an experienced driver (or do we (?)). If you could, which of the two would you choose and why? Keep your replies specific to the truck, not the motor. Just curious which of the two offer the most living space, storage space and driving comfort from those of you with the real life experience.
    Much appreciated!

Well, I quit working there after they switched me to a Freightliner that needed to be jump-started eight times and towed four times. I had an International before and I have an International now and I've never had a jump-start or a tow in them. So there's that.

    Small sample size, though.

I have an International and it's a good truck. It has enough living space for myself.

The Freightliner Columbias have a 70" bunk..the new Cascadias have a 60" bunk. Nobody wants them because there is not alot of room in them to store anything. The new Internationals are ProStars and are supposed to have the 70something" bunk. The old International 9400i have the 70something" bunks and are pretty good inside as far as storage goes.

Freightliners have the sensor issues also..the low coolent sensor on ours goes haywire every 2 months or so. It will shut the truck off while driving down the road since it goes into engine protect mode. The coolent level is fine but the sensor says no it's not. After the first 2 times, road repair just says unplug it and we will note it. They have replaced 4 of them in the past year on ours.

I have had very little issue with the International I am in. It has 666,xxx on it now and runs well. Plenty of storage space as well and I pack alot of ####.

Thanks drivers for your useful input. Based on your replies, I understand none of you had any say as to what truck you were issued; right?
