I am a newbie and I am so happy because I have just recieved my first truck. Now I'm suppose to bobtail it home and enjoy my time off during the weekend. The problem is I don't know where to park it for the weekend. I live in Rockville, MD and there is a secure place to park in Lorton, VA but they charge $150 month and right now I don't have the money for that. There must be a place where I can park the truck for the weekend; a place where nobody will mess with my truck. What I'm looking for is peace of mind. I don't want to worry about my truck all weekend. Any ideas on what I can do to resolve this issue?

I take it you can't park the bobtail at your home?

I live in the suburbs and the area seems to small for tractors. I don't want to get into any trouble.

well it looks like you're gonna have to find a truck stop near you to park at......Just a question...what are you gonna do when you have a trailer hooked up to ya when you come home? Not trying to be a wise guy......

I'm not sure. Who do I talk to in order to find out? The cops? I don't want my tractor to be towed.

By then I'll have the money to park it in a secure lot. But for now, do you think a truck stop is best? What about nearby shopping malls? What if I talk to the manager of a nearby major retail store? Will that help?

Look around for a large parking lot or some place where there is a fence. Go talk to them and work out a deal.
QUESTION; Where are you leaving the trailer? If it's at the yard why don't you leave your POV there and drive it back and forth instead of paying to park or look for a parking spot? If you're married and only have 1 vehicle you really need to change that by getting something else that can be left at the yard.
If you're leaving the trailer at a customer ask them if you can park the tractor there out of the way while you go home.

Just park the thing at the Pilot. It'll be fine...

Just because you live in the burbs dont mean you cant park your truck there. Check out your local ordinances and maybe call the code enforcement office and see what they say. I doubt (my opinion only) there would be any towing involved

    Texas-Nana Thanks this.
