I think it's the recruiters job to tell you what ever it is you want to hear just to get you there. Then they think you will just stay because you are already there. With companies like werner new drivers are a dime a dozen. I hate to admit to it, but about 20 yrs ago i started with werner right out of school and was lucky enough to get into their flatbed division and never had a problem.

These companies love to promise the moon when talking to students.

Honestly I can't blame you for leaving. Maybe one day these jerks will realize what they are doing is dishonest, but I doubt it.

Read around on this forum and you'll find out who the best of the worst are.

I am wondering,are you still pulling flat for them? I see them once in a GREAT while.....Werner must not have to many flats???

 

I dont think I have ever seen a werner flatbed.

recruters always lie. They rate up there with used car salesmen.

Did you get anything on paper and signed by them, stating yes in fact you can the certain job?

 

My brother, nephew, and myself were hired this year with Swift. I'm not saying that it's happily ever after with Swift, but we all completed training and are gaining work experience. I'm sorry you had that terrible situation, but please don't give up. Good luck.

 

Darlin every company has their own version of the truth. It is up to you to sift through it. If it sounds to good to be true it usually is.
