That 4 lane is divided, it has a grass median in the middle with a few
turning lanes close to homes and business.

I was referring to some of the roads with limited access or interstates which are different in Canada to ours.

Some of you people on here are disgusting. Don't you drive trucks?
Yes, more then likely the guy was not paying attention or distracted somehow and rear-ended the bus. But aren't most of you people truck drivers? You act like you've never even driven a car before. It doesn't take long watching traffic to see that there are a lot of ####### out there, and stuff happens every day that is really amazing. This week alone I had a car pull out directly in front of me off the shoulder at night, ACROSS THE SLOW lane directly into my path in the hammer lane, almost locked the wheels up getting out of it in time. Some amazing stuff happens out there for absolutely no reason, to throw another guy under the bus without knowing what happened is pathetic. Next week it may be you that the rest of the clowns on here are wanting to lynch.

Notice how the truck hit the bus almost center? Wonder if that means anything? Wonder if there was any skid marks from the truck behind the bus.
Maybe the driver had a medical issue at the time. Maybe the driver was stone cold asleep. Maybe everyone here should remember the words, innocent until proven guilty.
Oh sorry, this is a truck driver, guilty until proven innocent...

In the past I have driven a schoolbus. I have always been surprised at how many drivers have driven by when I had my red lights on with the little stop sign out to the side.

It is heartbreaking to read about these types of accidents as we never know the real truth about what happened. I pray for their speedy recovery.

This is a tradgey for everone involved; the Bus Driver & students, Parents/Family & the Truck Driver. FYI, the 2 kids are still in critical condition. One was a 15 year old boy who was put into a medically induced coma (2 broken legs I think ) & the other was a 5 year old girl. I don't know what her injuries are but it doesn't look good. Just remember everyone in your prayers. If it comes out the Trucker was drunk/on the phone/texting or whatever then everyone can hang him. If you have never been involved in a truck accident, you are guilty until proven innocent. Sad but true.

Very true. I've been involved in 2 accidents in a rig, neither being my fault. The first one I was able to show I wasn't at fault through physics and logic. The second, I would have been found at fault if it wasn't for a witness.

So, until we know ALL the facts, no one should be so willing to crucify the guy.
