You gotta put something on your truck that describes your personality, don't just put your name. I know you're new and don't have a CB yet, but essentially you need a CB handle, that's what people around the country will come to know you as. I live in Florida and wear flip flops 95% of the time, hence the name on my door. You gotta put a bit of character in to it, if you like to shift we'll call you "shifty", something like that. As the miles go on you'll pick up on something, it took me 8 years of driving to get my handle, something you earn like a badge of honor in the trucking world.

Well I just found the radio I am going with but I don't want to say because the FCC might be reading this forum. Hehehe!!!

I will say it has everything you will ever need on it for around $260. Not bad in my opinion.

Yeah, I have to renew mine every year because of it. I drive locally for a wrecker company and got to have a DOT card. I never had a problem getting one but I did not know if the rules changed when you started driving a much bigger truck on the highway. Thanks for your response.

BNR32, your radio is just out of tune. Cost about $20 to get it tuned up. Usually needs to be done about every three or four months. The little springs get all outta whack from bouncing around in the truck. You will be able to hear but not put out.
