Why do you truckers work 24 hours a day 6 days a week away from your family and loved ones, for less pay then you deserve?

Why do you truckers bring good to the ungrateful Citizens who do not appriate the goods on the shelves that you bring them.

Why do you truckers put up with the idiot drivers on the road in 4 Wheelers?

Why do you truckers risk your life everyday working one of the Most dangerous jobs there is,

Why do you truckers work for companies that don't give a #### if you live or die as long as there load gets there on time.

Why don't you truckers tell all the idiots out there that it takes a special kind of man or women to be able to operate 80,000 lbs on our nation's highways especially with all the idiots out there who don't pay attention. Let alone how you have to be a rocket scientist to fiqure out how to do your log books and keep up with all the laws and regulations.

Why don't you truckers get the respect you deserve?

Why don't you truckers get the Thanks you deserve?

    To all of you Truckers!!
Thank You! and God Bless You All!

Because it is next to impossible to organize as a group and demand better.

For me it was always knowing I was doing an honest job and earning my pay.

They never really bothered me. I expect them to be uninformed about the characteristics of a truck.

I don't see it as that dangerous. The inside job that I left trucking for is what almost killed me due to high stress. (and which is why I am probably going back out on the road)

Most care more than what people think, although there are some that don't. I just did my job as I saw fit, and as long as I had a good dispatcher looking out for me, all was good. ( I mainly worked for smaller companies (30-40 trucks) where we all knew each other.

It is become a "me first" world, they wouldn't listen, LOL

for many of the reasons above

Knowing I am supporting my family and knowing I am earning an honest living is enough thanks for me.

    Thanks :)

Sportsoutlaw hit that nail right on the head; if you need a job where you are constantly being praised for doing your job, then trucking isn't for you. I get immense satisfaction from a job well done, wether my company realizes it or not, wether the general public realizes it or not, is not my concern.
But, all the same, thank you Mama, for the thanks and prayer!

I don't haul freight, but I do deliver the trucks that haul the freight as well as fix the highways, electrical repairs, put out fires, and even transport the sick and injured to hospitals. I don't like being away from my family, especially my son, but I know I am doing a noble and needed job, and I am happy knowing that alone. I don't need the respect of others that don't fathom what I'm doing. I know there are many out there that do and I love getting paid to go all over the United States and see things that most people would never see except on TV or in a book. That's what keeps me on the road doing what I do. I make enough money to satisfy my and my son's needs. That's all I need. Thanks for caring.:biggrin_255:

im not trying to make anyone mad here but truckers themselves are somewhat to blame, remember we are in the public eye and we already have a bad rep anyway so when someone is seen on our roads driving like an a hole, and acting like an idiot it just further ingrains an already bad image to the public and the true professionals suffer from the stupidity if the idiots behind the wheel of there rigs.there are more and more drivers on the roads today with more and more traffic and other problems to deal with,as a whole truckers are smarter, and more professional than the public realises, its just the bad drivers that people seem to remember and that reflects on all of us
