Well if anyone has any questions feel free to pm me. Chromedome is also pretty knowledgeable and I don't think he would mind answering questions either.

You may want to ask someone that is currently with the company about Florida. They were not hiring from anywhere in FL when I was with them. They had lost some big contracts, so did not have freight to get people home.
So check with some current drivers or with recruiting. They will know.
FL is a hard state for many company's.

    Spacecoast Thanks this.

today I found out why people hate I 70 west out of denver in the winter! Took me 2+ hours to get through the Eisenhower tunnel and to vail and its only about 50 miles. Did it without chains too! CO lifted the chain law and there was still ALOT of ice on the road.

I see carrier CSA data is online today..

The tuition at Mid Florida Tech was 2200 and some change. Which includes the price of the books that you will need. I began the progam in October 20, 2010. The progam is 320 hours at 10 hours a day Mon - Thursday. 7:00 am to 5:30 p.m. It is a wonderful program. You will learn everything from learning how to do log books correctly, map reading, trip planning, they even have a shift track.

My laptop dropped as I was pulling into the pilot in St. George. My backpack fell off the top bunk and broke the screen. Its not covered under warranty and HP wants $485 to fix it. Funny thing is, it only cost me $600 new. :biggrin_2556:

What books are u talkin bout. The books u need for mid florida tech are not available at DMV. You are gonna need three(3) log books, one(1) 2010 Motor carriers road atlas, one(1) bumper to bumper, you can purchase a clipboard and a blank dvd on your own. But they have a complete package for u it runs about 70 bucks or so.
