Well, since these seem to be so popular, I'm gonna post my experiences after school with my new job. I graduated last wednesday with a 97 gpa. I filled out my paperwork with inman trucking on thursday. Now I can't wait to get a load out. I have to call them again in 5 minutes. Hopefully they'll be getting me out today. Well, i'll try my best to keep everyone informed.

They throwing you in a truck solo after just finishing school?

BTW: congrats on finishing up with a respectable score and landing that job. Do I remember you were sweating that one a little?

Thanks for the congrats. and yes, i had been sweating it a bit. but to answer your first question, they run strictly teams. so i'll be with a trainer. i'm just waiting for a trainer to come up with a load.

This waiting is killing me. now they say it will be tomorrow at the earliest. oh well, i've waited this long, i can wait a while longer.

Well I have been waiting for a Swift trainer for four weeks now. One did call but his truck was broke down so he could not come get me.

I call and they tell me since it is so close to my paper license being expired for me to wait on the hard copy to come in the mail then call them.

Should come tomorrow so then I will call them back.

Love to read these stories - especially those right a head of me so I can 'sort of' know what to expect :)

Good deal. Glad to see that it is working out for you. What you are going through now is just the graduate course in patience. Make the Old North State proud!
