It's time the law caught up with reality. Anyone who drives while impaired must be aware that their actions could kill, and that's how the law should treat them. Same sentencing for DUI as attempted murder. As far as I'm concerned there's no difference.

My brother and nephew would agree as most of my family would.
This happened in July of 09. Both of them walked away. Truck and trailer
were totaled. 6 cows went to the happy hunting ground sooner than was
    previously planned.

Seconded. And thanks for doing your bit to make the roads safer for all of us. Looking forward to more of your stories in the new year; but looking forward even more to the day when you have to say "Sorry. Can't find any stupidity to tell you about." I won't hold my breath waiting for the latter.

At .2 wasn't he well over 3 times the 4 wheeler limit of .08, but FIVE times the CDL limit of .04?

I know the stupid stuff will never end. It seems to only get worse from my perspective. And like I say all the time, nothing surprises me anymore. Some days I stop drivers that have all of their sheet together and have no violations. Other days, it seems like it's one big f'd up day of violations. I must say though, for the most part, the driver's I do stop have their stuff together, the other 1% make up the posts that get posted on here.

Today, most everyone had their stuff together. I had the garden variety speeders, 20 over in a big truck (2 of them. 4 others that were 15 over), log issues ( 1 with no log, 2 over their hours and 1 not current), but nothing stupid. I understand guys are pushing to get one place to another.

So when you think your having a bad day, I bet their is another driver somewhere that is having a day that is much worse than yours. :biggrin_25521:

It's the law that they report it "on the books". If they don't it's a big no no for them.
