"I've always imagined that honest truck companies never needed extra security"

Absolutely. We've just invented a way to do a quick check on a prospective company. Ask a current driver if they have armed guards and/or digital locks on the doors between drivers and other personnel..

    Hmmmmmm ---
That causes me to wonder how they treat their armed guards.
I'm thinkin' the powers that be C.R.E. issue their armed guards one bullet each which they keep safely snapped in their uniform's top left pocket, behind their name tag, ---- Barney.
Is it possible that the one bullet isn't intended for irate drivers?
Maybe that one bullet is intended for personal use when their conscience finally realizes and understands what the Lord meant when He warned us that the wages of sin, is death.

Does C.R.E. offer security guard training?
Do they pressure those wannaBees into leasing their uniforms and firearm? Do they nickle and dime the guards like they do their lease drivers? Do their guards often find that there's too much month left at the end of the money when their paycheck is printed with red ink and showing a negative balance after C.R.E. deducts their entitlements off the top before the money trickles down to the bottom where the peons feed on any money that remains?

I spent a whole year in Salt Lick City one day. What I remember most is all the laughter within the city. I thought Disneyland was the Happiest Place On Earth until I heard the laughter emanating from the depths of Salt Lick City and echoing off the walls of fortified buildings, --- much like an over modulated Big CB radio with echo and reverb adjusted too high.

Where does the laughter come from?
Who laughs so loudly? And why?
    Is it choir practice?
    I asked.

The explanation was the same from all who answered.
The collective voices heard laughing were originating from the powers that be C.R.E. as they congregated several times each day to tune up in preparation for laughing all the way to the
    bank
while flaunting their deposit slips in a location known as the Den of Thieves. To view this spectacle, just follow the Money Trail to the first turn off, --- a small path called Destruction which connects to the Route Of All Evil. Y'all will know when you arrive because the love abounds.
    Love one another?
    Nope.
    Brotherly Love?
    Nope.
    Courtney Love?
    Heck no.
    Love thy neighbor?
    Not even warm.
Love makes the world go 'round?
    Close, but no cigar.
It's the love of money, and it's so important that it comes first, ---
before anything else, ---- at any and all cost.
What do they do with all that money they love?
    They're building a stairway
    to heaven.
So they can take it all with them, no doubt.

Privately contracted security company. Not CRE trained or directly paid. And they have 9mm autos with two mags. I asked, I'm into that sort of thing.

For some places, it is crazy.
A kid's lemonade stand in the front yard would be crazy, I think.
But when deemed to be necessary, it wouldn't be crazy to hire protection. Now, the reason why that would be considered necessary, is, IMO, sorta crazy.
    But is it really?
    Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Would the sayin' "Crazy Like A Fox" fit here?
It's not unusual to hear comments like how shabbily run the outfit is, how they don't know what t
hey're doin', and need to learn to treat their Big truck truck drivers with more respect, or at least more concern, if they want to retain drivers, Many attribute the (problem) to the powers that be the company who, they believe, haven't a clue how to run a Big truck truckin' company. But that leaves a question beggin' for an answer. If they're so inept and clueless, how does the company manage to stay in business, and apparently doin' quite well, --- in spite of it all, all things considered?
    How day do dat?

Is it possible that the company is runnin' exactly as planned?
When viewed from that angle, the situation seems to be a lot clearer and more in focus, and provides answers to questions previously not understood, Everything fits togeth
er like a jig-saw puzzle of the Big Picture.
    It's an eye-opener when finished.
Some of them are in the choir and sing Ignorance Is Divine. :smt034 :smt035
    Unknowing minds want to know.
And sometimes minds that know prefer to be thought to know nothing.
    Innocence?
That's not for me to decide.
But, in my never so humble opinion, "I didn't know" is akin to pleadin' No Contest or Guilty With An Explanation. If nothin' else, Guilt By Association.

Is it OK if a crime is perpetrated only for the money, with no malice intended?
What do they call exceptin' money to commit a crime that supplies the money to pay for the crime they're committing?
Can Mr. BigShot deny accountability for the crime(s) committed by pointin' to the secretary now bein' thrown under the bus?
    SHE
    did it!!

    And I can prove it.
    Look.
Here's the bonus check I sent her for doin' it.
    I did nothin' wrong.

But that secretary would do ANYthang for a few pieces of silver.
    Believe me, I know.
I've seen it all and had to pay for it.
    I'm a witness AND a victim.
    I'll testify to that.

In the background, the rooster crows,
    once,
    twice, ................................................
    three times.

    Did anyone hear? :disgust:
    Was anyone listenin'? :smt069
:director2::director: ~~~~~~~~ HELLO? Can Y'all hear me now?
    I agree.
    Imagine that.

Let's see, ........... I'll reach into my bag-0-sayins' and see if I can come up with one to fit here.
    Hmmmmmmmmm
Y'all never get a second chance to make a first impression.

How important is a first impression.
Considerin' that first impressions tend to remain in the memory the longest, ----- Haw many of y'all remember your 15th or 43rd impression? How 'bout the 4th? Anybody remember their first impression(s)?

    YeaH, me too.
That would add a nice touch, ----- especially in the rougher parts of big cities where crime rates are so high that they're ignored by the local police who are paid to serve and protect. But they don't go there.
    They're protectin' themselves.
    Don't'cha know.

Imagine if those facilities had guards with uniforms like those guys who stand motionless while guardin' that palace over there, over there, across the pond. Bright red coats and those tall black hats. White gloves complete the ensemble.
    They look marvelous.
Could even be role models for the gang members.
    Something to aspire to.

And, just like the locals, when the sheep dip hits the fan, they don't actually do ANYthing either.
When the call for :help: comes in,
    they remain motionless.
Ignore it long enough and it'll go away.
    Like it never happened.

    But, ..................... I digress, .........................
YeaH, ............... that is a bit too much.
I'm thinkin' they have over-inflated senses of worth and/or importance. That glass just gives 'em a false sense of security so they'll keep doin' stuff that makes such precautions necessary, which also, and most importantly, brings in the big bucks that contribute to the big profits realized.

What those peasants behind glass don't seem to realize is there's no glass, guard or metal detector coverin' the back door. The one used by management to escape, should the need arise.
But, it's also an entrance for those capable of thinkin' outside the box.
    SURPRISE!
Didj'all realize the back door is unlocked?
    Imagine that.

How strong is bullet proof glass?
Would it be capable of stoppin', ........ oh, ......... say 80,000 pounds ridin' on 18 wheels goin', ............ oh, .......... 'bout 45 miles an hour
at the time it impacts the outer wall of Command Central? That's a lotta kinetic energy to dissipate. Glass alone might not be enough. Might have a better chance with bullet proof vests to complement the bullet proof glass.
    Ya reckon.
With the experience gained while collectin' over a million mile-markers, I'd be very cautious before even considerin' talkin' to any current or prior Sons Of Chester's drivers.
Never know if they're actually recruiters in reality, just posin' as happy Big truck truck drivers, ---- who are really on a mission to seek and employ.
Chances are a bolt of lightening might strike that exact spot at any time after their lips begin to flap.

Throw ----> timing <---- in thar with "Research" and I'll agree. :biggrin_25525:

Have you actually witnessed any of those 9mm auto-loaders launch a live projectile? If so, did the projectile strike it's intended target?

Big truck truckers are known for their ability to spin good yarns.
    Exaggeration is not uncommon.
I'm thinkin' wannaBee LEO's, as a group, in general, probably spin a good yarn as well.
It's said that many who wash out of police academies for various reasons, are inclined to become rent-a-cops. Some have an attitude of get-evenism, and blame society, in general, for their shortcomings. Think of a hand grenade with a short fuse, with the pin pulled and threats of droppin' it without a second thought. Would y'all want to offer to shake their hand? :biggrin_25521:

    Wouldn't THAT be a blast?

    YeaH, ........... that's what I was thinkin', too. :biggrin_25523:

I been runnin as an L/0 for them for well over a year now. The fleace thing is a scam and true again they will give you the moon for the first 6 months leaving you shouting at the top of the roofs for all to hear how great they are, then flush you down the toilet for no reason, leaving you crying for mercy to any one who will listen. I am leaving as soon as my taxes come back for a greener pasture. I am looking for good trucking companies now.

Here is my story about CRE. I went to there school in Mira Loma. Honestly I loved it. I had a great class. We would all get together and go out drinking whatever cram a bit go to class. Just like high school except I never got laid
:biggrin_2557: the trucker girl wannabees were a bit to rough lookin for me. Loved it, great motel, I had a roomate for a couple days but he bounced, so I had the room all to myself, second week of school they moved all students to a different motel same thing a few days with this fat pervert and he bounced as well. Funny that dude drove antique cars on a 5th wheel pickup mounted trailer whatever. He been all over the us dozens of times. He seemed to know the name of every lot lizard in every truck stop. He would do nothing but tell stories of all them all day. Very in debth detail. If he hadnt left I would have killed em. The whole time in class (hungover) the instructors brainwash you about how all the people who cry and whine about L/O are just the biggest losers on the planet, people who would and probably have gotten fired from a Mcdonalds job. You almost start to believe it.

I got in with my phase I driver. He was a young dude who had literally been living on the street homeless before he came to CRE. He had 5 years driving experience before he moved into the park for I think he said it was like 6-7 months he lived in some Sacremento park over half a year. He was a power trippen little fragget, who had never had an authority position in his life and being the first time in charge of another person milked it for all it was worth. We got into a couple of altercations, but he was scared 2 death of me walking off his truck, so he always turned tail gave me a few bucks untill the next time I decided I had enough and went another round with him. About 50 rounds and 4 weeks of hell it was, but I survived (he almost didnt). I knew it couldnt be any worse with my next trainer and I was wright.

My phase II driver was a drunk. He forced me 2 drive nights while he quickly drank himself to oblivion in the sleeper. It wasnt to bad. I almost never had to deal with shippers or receivers because they all mostly delivered in the day. I didnt have a clue what I was doing but it didnt matter, because boss was passed out in the sleeper. I put a beating on his lease rig like there aint no tomorrow, some times intentionally just to see what would happen if I did this or that ets.

The idea of being forced to drive with one of those two as a co-driver made the CRE company driver idea go out the window. I decided to become a Fleace operator. But I also knew I was getting hosed over. I went into it with the attitude that I probably would never make any money at it, and if I did it would be a bonus. The sacrifice of a year of my time for a decent job is one I deemed worthwhile. I had broken up with my ex a couple weeks before leaving, put my stuff in storage and right before deciding to go on a greyhound had sold my car amongst a few other things I regret selling. This attitude about not expecting anything for a year, and if I do make anything its a bonus is one that I still have.

Making money as a CRE L/O. The first about six months after you graduate or shakey but ok. I made a little bit of cash, a few times a bit more than expected. I took students every now and again. Training stinks. I never had a student with little haul attitude. Every student I got would cry every time I wanted them to run more than 8hrs. They all cried because they wanted to hit every single figgen truck stop on the route ets. I ran most of my students logs for them. Drive my shift let the little wussy drive his 6-8 hrs while i slept in passanger seat, then drove on his logs the rest of his shift, then drove a full shift on my logs. I made a few good paychecks, but it about killed me. I had a student on my truck for 6 weeks I made bank, then the next student I took after about 6 months driving for CRE I averaged around 2500-3500 miles a week, I lost money. For once again 6weeks listened to my dm say we are going threw changes just hold on to him it will get better. He left hot. He made nothing in six weeks and I owed them money after he left. I ran solo for a long time after than. Never again got any good miles, when before I had great miles. I have a perfect on time record, ran clean logs and no marks on my record. Just random black listing. Went from golden child to blacklisted for no reason. No matter how much I begged or talked to no one would tell me why I got all my miles slashed. I talked to other (newer) L/O's, they were all getting great miles. I decided to be a phase I trainer. I had over a year in, maby thats where I was going wrong, my dm had been pressuring me for it so I will do it. Thats a nightmare. I had to students who dont even know or even want to know how to wipe there own ace. Just no motivation to learn or push themselves. Made a few bucks by running off there logs but not worth it. I run solo only now as I have done most of my time. Do I make anything, no. I made a few bucks moving small amounts of cargo out of mexico, when I was laid over in CRE yard in Laredo. Had a couple other schemes which is hit or miss to make a few bucks but thats it. I figured out you can change you DM all you want, but every time I got a good one they promote him or her to dispatch company trucks and I get stuck with another retarted new dm.

    Myths about CRengland lease operators:

    1) You get priority dispatch over company drivers. You do not. CRE makes a profit off you if you only run 200 miles a week. CRE has to pay for all aspects of the truck licensing and fees taxes plus company benefits for company drivers. There drivers are always first. L/O trucks get the new DM's who are in training or who just are not up to par. All the good DM's get promoted to company fleets.

2)You get to choose what loads you want. You do not. They will refuse to pay deadhead miles for your next load if you refuse a load. They will only give you loads with massive deadhead miles after you refuse a load. You can sit there and starve for a month, take it in the ace learn your lesson and move on.

3)There wages for L/O's are false advertising It was around last April or so they took away a L/O ability to reduce there variable mileage payment by 1/2cent every blue moon by using the safety rewards program. If you leased a truck after that you will never be able to get your variable mileage payment under .14 cpm. That means that you will never get a penny more than .66cpm for deadhead and whatever the top rate they advertise is minus .14cpm. I never get it, only the supposed .90cpm which is actually .76cpm because I never get any loads under 500miles. Between 600-800 miles on average very seldom do I get more or less than those. If you were leasing a truck at the time they did away with the awards reduction on your variable mileage payment your variable mileage payment was frozen.

Lot more I will add to the CRE myths, tired going to unhook and run to walmart then hit the sac.
