    Hey Guys,

Im the new guy, I live in Starke Fl. I am 100% new never even rode in a 18 wheeler lol. I am currently looking at starting Roadmaster In Jacksonville on the 15th.

I have heard alot of good and bad. I know this is non relevant but I pulled a 5th wheel 20 something foot trailer trailer out of high school for 3 years and enjoyed driving. Im good with a 5th wheel but worried about schooling.

I know I have local vo-tech and NTI local too. Roadmaster was fastest, I just wanna make sure im making a good decision with schooling. I am worried about not passing as I guess most would. I love pulling trailers with 4 wheeler but a 18 wheeler in a whole new game i know.

Any tips or advice from some vets out there? Any one with experience in roadmaster jax?

I am also curious about companys to start off with, whats good and whats not?

Thanks in advance for all replies.

    Hey there,

I live in Saint Augustine, FL and was considering going to Roadmaster Jacksonville too. As a matter of fact, I am going to meet with someone there tomorrow.

Did you start last month? If so, how has your experience been so far? I know that Florida State College in Jax (formerly FCCJ) has a class but its 8 weeks long, M-F. Roadmaster has an 8 weekend option, which is likely what i'd do. (Just so I can keep working at my job now)

    Thanks in advance
    Tom

Check into whether or not financial assistance is offered at Florida State College.Y'all might be eligible for some type of grant or scholarship.

I grauated from there this past Dec, not too bad of a program. I went on the weekends and at times they had too many students at one time trying to work around the holidays. not sure what the week classes look like but over all the instructors knew there stuff and was willing to take the extra time to help you work out any problems and understand the material.
