dude all pre-hires mean nothing. Heck an orientation date is just an invite to potentially work for a company. You're not hired until you sign your paperwork, get your card, and your trainer or truck. :biggrin_25525:

Funny thing back when I started looking into trucking I talked to a Werner recruiter for about five minutes basically asking about which schools they hire out of and if they did tuition assitance, sponorship, or reimbursement, yada yada yada...

Never did the online app or nothing, but did give him my name and address and two days later i got the pre hire letter lol.

Call May Trucking or Indian River Transport. They both haul and hire out of Florida, Second consider a private post office box, thats look like an address in the north end of FL like Jacksonville... But your going to have a tough time getting home either way.

You would think that a Werner recruiter would have better things to do than mislead people. I can imagine the pressure they are put under...

...unless they also get paid for just running apps through the system. That would make sense.

I didn't even do the app and got the pre-hire letter lol

maybe they get paid by how many letters they send out. ;)

I am kind of in a holding pattern as of now...waiting until I get closer to graduation.

Only because some of the companies that I will be appying to next are smaller outfits that don't discuss anything until they can make a copy of your CDL-A.

    wulfman75 and 123456 Thank this.
