i used to drive for werner, i was there for abt 8 years, 7.50 of the years i was a trainer, as time went on as a trainer i became more and more tired, loosing sleep averaging about 3 hrs a day, students wernt very good they always needed help, i came to werner with abt 10 years under my belt, i was a good driver and have the awards to proove it, about the 5th year i was there i stopped runningmy truck like a team w/a student,it wasnt safe, werner didnt like that, i told them thats tough, i couldnt sleep anyway, the arguement went on for about 3 more years, safety told me it was all abt the money, that i was loosing miles ect. i told them its not about the money that was important, but it was about training an individual the right way that mattered, they didnt buy it, i asked safety why didnt they inforse that on the trk, they told me it comes from the top the ceo, so i said ok so all we have is a room with people in it that call them selves safety personal, lol i laughed at them, werner doesnt have a sefety department they have a metafore.
