been looking around and would like confirmation as to what codes I need to put in when I go to the CAT house in a couple weeks.
What should the FTS/FLS be
Also should I heard that 6999 trim codes are a rougher IDLE so if true is it so rough you will have hard time sleeping??? Should I just go with 5232
FLS

Mine actually idles and runs better with the 6999 then with the 5232. Very smooth With 5232 I had rough idle and a bad shutter on a pull
-
guess I should say that I have a 2000 6nz
so you recommend 6999? -
My bad on the typing guess I'm thinking faster then I type
I like the 6999 better, but to answer your question the best thing to do is just try the code and see which one works best for you

You will not get any CAT shop to change the FLS/FTS numbers for you no matter how much money you try to pay them. These numbers are password protected and can't be changed without CAT recording who got the passwords to do it.
Changing injector trim numbers will create a rougher idle -
a place in greencastle pa changed my fls/fts and put in the 6999 dynoed good numbers im not sure it did much for the pull in the real world though seems about the same

If they can't do it then who can? I mean there is no warranty on truck or engine so why would they care? -
antrim diesel in greencastle pa can and will change the numbers for you i just did mine a week or so ago runs ok but not as good as all the hype you here mine dyno's great numbers but with a trailer behind it not much dif they put 0/127 on the fl and 6999 on the trim i was like 600 hp 1875 on the torque

Emission laws... ownership of intellectual property, etc. Lots of reasons I would imagine.
