Peterbilt...made to keep the "jockeys" out of a Kenworth.
Anybody know the differnce between a Peterbilt and a porcupine? The porcupine has the pricks on the outside.lol
Better a sister on crack than a brother in a pete.
The more I learn about Peterbilt the better I love my KENWORTH.
Just kidding.Nothing wrong with a Pete.

From strictly a "looks" point, I don't know how the good Lord could have giving a vehicle better lines than a 300wb 70" Pete 389 with a drop front axle.
Having said that, let the rest of the comparisons begin...

The 2002 379 I drove for a while was good looking & riding truck. Didn't particularly like the size of the cab when not driving, but again it was a great ride that I really enjoyed driving.

I will add in 2001 I drove a '93 KW T600. For an old truck, that by far was best truck ergonomically with great style lines I have driven. I was really impressed in everyway.

Today I drive a '10 Prostar. Other than a large Buick feel...not impressed...other than fuel economy of 8.75 mpg!

what do womens panties and a peterbilt have in common? I'll let yall figure the punch line out! I have driven all of them, and worked on most of them, any newer ones with dpf's are hard to work on, but paccar trucks are easiest to work on overall, and drive the best. imo, just my .02 worth.

No...My company has got a good set up aiding in aerodynamics. Also they spec the trucks out with the "ghost" axle in saving weight. Whenever possible I slow accelerate trying to keep the turbo under 10%, shifting sooner without any rev & utilizing the cruise control on the open road.

I get almost 10.5 mpg when I'm light under 25k pounds. I peg 65mph whenever, & keep the left door closed. It probably helps my average length of haul is 1200 miles.

Our best driver last quarter was a woman who averaged a little better than 11 mpg! They gave her a brand new Harley for her efforts!

Thanks for the 411. Based on your location and comments I know who you drive for. What are the specs on the truck you drive? On the best fuel mileage trucks in the fleet?
