Kevin, the point of my post wasnt to let you know whether or not they are magnets or stickers.....you obviously thought those "thanks a million" magnets were Award decals for million milers. Just letting you know, Dicky.

Dick you are a steering wheel holder. Not a driver. I am surprised no one caught the fact that you didn't properly inspect the belts on your ISX. Review your school books on how yo do a pretrip.

I would call you a dipstick, 'cept you probably couldn't find it!

Just more proof that you are simply a steering wheel holder, otherwise you wouldn't think, you would know.

ok...that was a 'program' that swift did, what....2-3 yrs before i came on board? nobody told me about it during orientation, never heard about it from other drivers who had been around that long.....so how was i to know unless i asked? Since i didnt ask anybody it was obvious it wasnt important, or that i didnt care. probably both.

goofus, i was being funny....hence the ".....i think" and the smiley face at the end.

and for you and rug trucker, how long has this "hhahah you said belts but your engine only needs one" joke been going on? like a week? If you honestly think i dont look at my truck but once a week, you're more dumb than you think i am.

But i will tell you one thing.....i can sit in any truck stop, or any terminal for that matter, and see which drivers do an actual pretrip on their trucks. I'll even go as far as to say that probably 1 out of every 10-20 drivers does an actual pretrip in the morning. If you dont lift your hood, you're not doing a full pretrip. why do you think i said 'belts' in that post, what..a week ago? 5 days ago? then someone comes on and says "hahaha you''re dumb, your engine only has 1 belt"....and you think i'm the id10t because i didnt correct them? i probably could have gone out right then and there and took my camera and took a picture. But i just didnt care. And when i DO my pretrips, sorry. i forget my camera again....but i'm more interested in getting my load on the road than making anybody on some internet site happy or satisfied. i'm to the point, i could care less about correcting. i'm just going to let you all believe what you want, live in your own world where your milk is blue.

some of you really need to start drinking or something, cause you're obviously wound way to tight for your own good.

    Hey Dick,
    Removed insult

You do not own your truck, Swift does. The only winner in these situations is Swift. Get it through your thick skull.

How much you clear a week, $600-$800 a week if your lucky? You can make the same amount being a yard mule for some company and you would be home every night.

The only people making money of a lease is the company, not you. and they are making money of your dime. Does Swift pay you a percentage of the load? Most likely not.

I'm an O/O that hauls dry freight for a mom and pop outfit(that you despise so much). I get paid paid a major percentage of the load I haul. I don't have payments. I own my truck and trailer outright from day one that I decided to purchase my own truck. And I bought it used , BTW.

My truck might not be the newest, shiniest piece of equipment out there, but guess what, it does the job efficiently and I make a modest profit driving it.

Since its the holidays you know what I'm doing? I'm parking my tractor for 3 weeks and you know why? Because I can. I don't have to worry about making payments. Can you do that as a L/O? I don't think so.

How old did you say you were, 36? Well I'm only a year older than you but guess what? I've been holding a steering wheel since I was 21. I bought my truck when I was 30. I drove 9 years ,4 for a mega carrier,5 for the mom and pop outfit I am currently contracted with before I decided to take the leap and buy my own truck and trailer. And with 9 years under my belt, I still was lost the first year of going O/O. But the mom and pop outfit helped me out a lot in the beginning because they want their O/O's to succeed, unlike the mega carriers do.

The slow season has started. Lets see how long Dick survives with his lease deal.

who said i despise mom and pop outfits, just because i said they wont last past 2015?

if there is one thing about this industry i've found out....is that drivers are so quick to start with the "richard" measuring like, "...Well I'm only a year older than you but guess what? I've been holding a steering wheel since I was 21. I bought my truck when I was 30. I drove 9 years ,4 for a mega carrier,5 for the mom and pop outfit I am currently contracted with before I decided to take the leap and buy my own truck and trailer. And with 9 years under my belt....." Or they'll be the ones with the biggest radio in the truck stop, or the truck with so many lights on their truck you can see them from space.

Seriously, you might think it looks cool, but all it does is make you look pathetic. Life is a zero sum game.

slow season? funny, last year when i was a company driver, it was "slow" too...but i seemed to keep rollin, and get in 2300-2400 mi week. And right now, i'm running wal-mart dedicated, so i'm not too worried about freight slowing down. But then again, i'll still get in what i need to make my lousy paycheck of $150 a week. (might as well pretend its low, to make all of those who hate me or the whole flease deal feel better about yourself).

and i dont know why there are still a few who try to "correct me" saying "you dont own your truck...." really??? you can ask Injun if i think i own my truck, cause that was one of the things i was telling her, of why you can't call yourself an "O/O". why are you trying to correct something i already know? need an ego boost or something? getting close to christmas, and its the time of year you hate, because you're not married, no kids and your family never invites you over, so you sit at home watching Lawrence Welk reruns drinking egg-nog, then you get your hopes up when you hear christmas carolers, thinking they're at your door, only to open your door and find out their singing to trailer across the dirt road? LOL....that last part was actually funny. =) HAHAHA

oh, and i could get paid percentage of the load. but the percentage pay is only 65%. and i dont get any MT milage pay, and no fuel rebate. And i know they're suposed to tell me how much the load pays if i asked them (if paid %) but i'm just suposed to take their word for it?

You're very wrong there. Again you're pulling info out of your arse.

I'm not a CB Rambo. Assuming like usual.BTW, my truck is plain Jane. No fancy chrome, no chicken lights, just looks like a plain old white tractor
I'm Pathetic? You paid how much for a battery and it wasn't the problem to begin with? enough said

You never answered if swift pays you a percentage of the freight you haul.
And where did I say you made $150 a week, look below at my previous post, you saw the numbers I think you make

Yes I am married, have 2 children and I own a house in the Galewood neighborhood of Chicago , BTW

the reason I park my truck during the holidays is because I can and I want to spend this time with my family. Again , you assume.............

At least if my truck needs a battery, I can go purchase and install it myself, same goes with if my truck throws a belt, I capable of replacing it myself. Like I said before , keep on digging you're own grave.

Saaayyyyyy, wait just......"a one, and a two......" cotton pickin' minute Dick! Why are you dissing on Lawrence Welk? I grew up watching that show every single week (ahhh..the 70's...) Of course, back then we only had 6 channels in NE Ohio and Dad controlled the tv, until he passed out...urr...fell asleep that is. :biggrin_2559:
