Fred Meyer has to be the bottom of the barrel of ALL grocery warehouses. ALWAYS overbooks trucks to the point that 15 trucks are waiting for a door. Receives certain stuff at certain times so one side of the DC is bare and the other side is chaos with overbooked trucks. This one I'm at just happens to be washing trailer right where you need to be to back in. The woman at the check in window has an attitude like she hates her job because of the disorganization of the whole operation. I can see myself being here about 6 hrs today.
Lol, detention is going to start before I even get to a door.

Today has gotten much better. I made it to the rest area just south of Jacksonville with 5 min on my 11 to spare. I didn't know that Jacksonville was a big city or I would have stopped further north just after I crossed the border. (I had a blond moment) I have to deliver at 7am which is going to be tight. I just talked to my DM I was supposed to fuel at ext 263 but I still have 1/2 a tank so He said I could save time and not have to fuel. YAY!!!

F me! Next load is another Freddie load! This time to the stores! At least the stores aren't as bad as the DCs. I can be in and out of the stores in 45min max

Geeze Smurfette, and I just left Florida. Went up the other coast tho. Almost to Chattanooga now.

Ah I chickened out - I went to the 49er T/S last night to pick something up for Hubby for school - saw a Central truck at the fuel station - almost dug up enough nerve to go over there and ask the person how they liked driving for Central - then my brain went - mmmm 10 pm, walking up to a stranger... maybe not the best idea in the world - but hey - if any of you were at the 49er T/S in Sacramento at 10 pm... you almost got a 'hello'

Wasn't me. I'm stuck up here near tacoma, wa with me dispatch assigning and unassigning loads to get me to phoenix for Xmas. Besides I don't use peelot fuel.
-
LOL - well maybe next time you drive through

There is no way of know WHO it was - I figured though there are MANY more Central drivers than who read/post on this forum - but the BEST ones are here

Lol I told my FM the history of the chehalis to slc Freddy loads and how you pick up at 1400 and the nw planner wants the first stop # 0800 the nxt day. He called the planner and said that a solo driver can't go 840 miles in 1 day. 2 min later... unassigned.

I went 750 or so one day last week. I had 13.25 hours driving for the day.
As an explanation. I started my day at midnight. Drove my 11, took a 10, and drove again.
I had a fuel stop and 2 pre-trips in there that took up the 45 min I was not driving.
Today I got back 10 hours. So I fairly short 2 stop that used allot of time.
But did not suck up many hours. Then had a 140 mile deadhead to stage for tomorrow. I will be picking up 4 miles from here at 0900.
Delivers as fast as I can get it to the receiver tomorrow in Lima OH.
I am in Hurricane WV right now.
Will have 8 hours total to go tomorrow. Only get back 3.5 lol.
Then I will get back 13.5 at midnight tomorrow night.
Have a preplan getting me to our Columbus terminal, so I will be set up for a load home. Hopefully they do not shaft me at the last second.
Got 2650 paid miles in 5 days running last week, looking at 2400 this week. I will not complain about that. Not if it gets me home.Lady K Thanks this.
