I have a better idea, Since there is no split speedlimits then lets just raise the fines 3 or 4 times what they already are and start pulling people over even if they are only going 5 over.
We have 75 mph speed limits on the interstates here in ND and 65 mph speedlimits on most of the state roads. Around here it seems to be normal for people to run a minimum of 8mph over the limit. When out of staters or the canadians come down then I 29 turns into the autobahn and you see people running 90+ mph. I can only quess at that but when they pass me like I am standing still at 70-75 mph then I know they are moving well over the limit. Oh and winter conditions don't seem to slow them down either. They think that because they have awd or 4 wheel drive then they can still run 15-20 over the limit and still be safe. I quess they do not see all the tracks going off road and the parts of bumpers littering the ditches etc. -
That woman has no idea what she is talking about. The accident numbers she uses are also from 2004-2005. Not even close to current numbers.
She forgets to mention that most of the accidents are the car drivers fault as well.
Also she does not see that the Ohio patrol pulls over trucks for going 5 mph or over on a daily basis. By the dozen.
Unlike cars where they need to be going 9+ mph over to get pulled over.
She needs her head examined. -
Starts April 1st!!!!
