This is the worst distribution warehouse in the west as far as I concerned...Our driver John went there to deliver at winco yesterday and the lumper fee was $180.00 so I loaded his TCH card with money and all he had to do was go to the ATM in the warehouse and withdraw his money for a lumper, well the ATM was out of cash...So the next step was to try and get a TCH check for the amount...They told the driver if he didnt have cash in hand then it would be another $40.00 for them to wait 10-minutes...So I call TCH to get the check and the code for them to cash it, then they tell our driver they charge an additional $15.00 for a TCH or Comm Check...So I called TCH back up and added there $ $40.00 Wait Fee & $15.00 check fee...It took them 4-hours to unload him after they received payment....Then after all was said and done there was a mis-pick in the product and made our driver take the product...When he went through the security gate and they asked to look inside the trailer...Now security thought he had stolen something, so there was another delay getting out of their yard.... WE WILL NEVER HAUL FOR WINCO AGAIN!!....$240 dollar day...TAKE CASH IF YOU EVER GO THERE!!!!

sounds like the lumper was pulling a cash scam. I've never seen or heard of fees for a tch or comcheck etc for lumpers. maybe something new??

I have been there a few times, never had a problem with them. At all. As a rule security at grocery d.c.'s have to look in the trailer. Did the gate pass list the product on the trailer? I always look to be in a dock for up to 4hrs at a dc. Did your driver maybe have a bad day, and have an attitude with them? Nothing intended, just asking.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I delivered 2 that dc in late April, I was there a little over 3 hours, I paid with a COMCHECK $180 after it was unloaded. As far as leaving the place all security wanted was the gate pass, they didn't check the trailer. Overall it was a so so experience:biggrin_25523:
