I was thinking about working for them. Although I wonder how often do they go into Canada, NYC, NJ, and Philly?

The recruiter told me it was less than 10 percent. Although, some recruiters will say anything to get a driver into orientation so they make their commision.
I can drive a truck most anywhere, but I have zero experience driving NYC. My other option is to accept work with Werner. (Yikes).

10% is a fair call on how often you will see NYC Philly and NJ. To say your gonna think you live there is nuts. Why the fear of NYC??? I hear guys say they don't like NYC, but my view is it beats Atlanta any day. You will never get any experience in the city unless you drive the city. To fear the city is retarded! Moving on though. You will spend about 70% of your time with these jokers in OH, IN, IL, KY, TN, and GA. 30% in PA, MD, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, and NH. 10% of which will be in NJ, philly, and NYC. I would say one out of 50 loads you get will go to the city or Long Island. So maybe 4 times a year give or take. Be a man cross the bridge!!! Trucking is not holding the wheel straight and tooling down the road. Thats for rookies and the lazy amoung us.

Ok, I will cross the big bridge! No turning around, once I cross over. As I view the other side into NYC I'm having thoughts of getting trapped on a residential street with a big truck. Or...trapped under a low height bridge backing traffic up for miles. Lost in an endless maze of streets, behind schedule with Baylor screamming in my cell phone. I could always abandon the rig in NYC, and hitch a ride back out if it gets bad. (Forbid those thoughts, I'll be ok). :)
So, why does Baylor Suck? I hear the money is good.

I had a truck that I leased on to Baylor,I went up with driver to sign contract and during orientation the owner Bob came in to talk to us and I"ll tell you this he was a inconsiderate person,he talked to one guy like he was a dog just because he did not fill out there little questioner he basically told him he could leave a not come back. But one thing they also did was wait to run eveything on driver for safety they thought he had something on his record he did have dui"s but the safety director told him he could not get a load out till it came back and if it showed something he would be sent home,It"s like why did they not run all this before having us come up? (stupid) We did make good money dispatcher was a little dumb though,to much sitting can make you a ill person.

Ok. Most of the bad comments are true. I have been with them for almost a year now. They do have older equipment but they give it the new to the industry crowd. Bob Baylor is buying new equpment daily currently im in a tracor with 400k on it 07 frieghtliner. They are a very tuff company to work for although you can get good miles with them and earn 50k+ yearly with them just be ready to run hard. ALot of delay times. Pickin up in tight docks or in rule areas. They do use maptuit but 99% of the time you can take that route legally. Just match it to a map,gps or just call em they will help you out. Or do it the old school way and call the shipper/reciever :). All in all if you aint got much time behind the wheel try them out. You will learn alot to be ready for the other ccompanys. 8 years drivingb ehind my belt insnt alot I know. In 8 years though this company has taught me more then any other. Goodlick out there

Because they pay to be a member of DAC Services each month . It's like a bank paying the credit bureau to report on your credit report

They put it on there but you gotta pay a company to remove it ...

It's a bad situation I would be glad if companies did not use DAC

Try DAC FIX I think they might be able to help you with the DAC issues
