Never got a call from the trainer last night...Called dispatch and they were of no help,I figured as much so woke up and went to the terminal and looked around made sure I was seen on camera and used my security card..No trainer,so said F-it and went to the QT down the road called dispatch and left a message with my fleet manager..I said everything above and said I was leaving with the wife to SC for x-mas and would check back in on monday morning..I am kinda poed but at the same time happy to spend x-mas with my wife and quite possibly newyears...This is really trying my resolve and decided to just roll with the punches and keep rolling..This will end and just takes time and time I have so F-it..lol
    Hope every1 has a great x-mas...

Have a wonderful Christmas - and treasure it - you just might be OTR next year and not be able to be at home for it. Say HI to the Mrs. <waving>

Everything takes on a life of it's own at Christmas. Nothing's going to work the way you want.

I don't know how Roehl works it, but I would suggest you make yourself available to go out with a trainer on short notice. Don't want to burn a bridge at this stage of the game.

Be patient. They'll come to you.

    Merry Christmas, buddy.

I agree with Wedge. Similar to just trying to survive military boot camp to get to a normal duty station. Alot of seemingly unnecessary BS to get there.

Called to check in today and left a message for my FM.He called me back later this afternoon and said it will prob be the 5th till a trainer will turn up.He said he would also keep working on that date and try to get an earlier date.I do have to say they try..I had a prob with last trainer but nothing I could'nt gut out.I learned alot and just need to put altogether into 1 ####### mutha trucker..lmao The things I need to work on arn't very big turn better, getting comfortable with driving a rig..(mostly what I can and cant do)Backing is huge but if I take my time and set up,get out and look..I think backing will come with time.

You are correct sir...backing will come. Just takes practice. Sometimes I back with no pull-ups and sometimes I back like it's the very 1st time I've ever attempted it. I'm sure backing my spread axle is a bit different than backing a tandem from what I remember. Tandems pivot better, that's for sure.
Be patient with yourself and you'll be fine!

One more thing about getting a 2nd trainer that I'm sure you've already thought about. You'll get two different perspectives on a lot of things. That should be a good thing. I'd encourage you NOT to say things like "but my last trainer said... " No one likes to hear that. Best of luck to ya.

Exactly, this next trainer will be my 3rd..1st trainer and 2nd were different..Things like moving into the left lane for on coming traffic 1st trainer was like move over if you have to but yield for the majority or hit it if it calls for you to move up safley.2nd was almost always move over unless you can't lol..Clutching was different also 1st trainer was very smooth and 2nd,hell the 2nd I would at times clutch better...I useally just do it how the last did it and try to marry the best of both. You are right never say that the other trainer said game. This next outing will go much smoother I know what is expected of me and need to be more proactive.
I am worried about backing the tractor to the trailor though...I think I just have to make the trailer look the same in both mirrors and back her in..SLOW..

You mean backing to hook up the trailer? That's pretty much how I do it, back with equal amounts showing in each mirror. It's good for starters, if you're backing straight in to the trailer. After awhile though, you'll get the feel of it and you'll be able to hook-up at angles too. You'll surprise yourself. It's always good however to get out and make sure, especially if your 5th wheel is too high or too low.
