Excuse me while I pick myself up off the floor . . . and check my glasses.

Lowering the tolls would've been a smarter idea, IMO.
Lilbit, 07-379Pete and CondoCruiser Thank this. -
Yeah I gotta agree with you on that Les...the few times I was on it I saw so many cars rolling by me and I was already doing 70drvrtech77 and Les2 Thank this.

I agree with lowering tolls. people are going drive as fast as they want anyway no matter what speed limit is. the way to get more vehicles on turnpike is to lower tolls where they would still make more $$$ because of heavier traffic.
-
Doesnt matter. My company will still route all drivers around the tolls.
-
"In the interest of Safety" they are raising the speed limits. If only we could take this and travel back in time and shove it down there throats when they were saying the exact opposite.
If they want trucks off the non-toll roads, they are going to need to reduce the tolls.Last edited: Dec 24, 2010

Now you can pay high tolls and higher fuel consumption. Your right Les, lower the tolls. They can't figure it out. All they are doing is rewarding the few that get to drive on it.
-
My truck will only do 65!
-
As with most trucks, company trucks that is, or they go slower. The only way they will get more on it, is if they drop the rates!
Ohio went to axle rates instead of by weight, like they used too. Now you get ripped off by running it empty.
