He is on my NEVER use list....Very rude guy and his helper is just as bad.
I lived down the road from them and just wanted to get a mic wire fixed..
Just a bad attitude from those guys.

As far as the "WHITE LIST" of CB shops goes .......TOTAL BS !! 292 Fire Communications radio shop Juliaetta, IA . is a bunch of crooks !! Anyone who has anything to do with them will not get ANY of my business ! CHECK OUT the Rip-off REPORT .com ( there are more documented cases of his thievery here )
The owner is JACK T. & he will rip you off ! (see the ripoffreport.com for full name ) HE will keep your radio when you send it in for repairs OR , not send you the products you order . You have been told ! Anyone who has any dealings with or recommends this guy would lead me to believe that their own credibility or intelligence is in question . Don't be fooled ! Many others have & lost their hard-earned money !

Got my CB tuned at a CB shop at a TA in Virgina. The guy pulled apart did some sodering and what ever and said id get a 15 mile range. Well the only issue is all i hear is shshshhshsshshshshshhshshhsh he said i cant use my gain control and to use some other knob with if i turn it down i reduce my range. Is this normal, he even hooked it up so i can hear myself on the speaker. 29.95 for the tune???? i have a corbra classic

I think the knob he's talking about is the squelch knob, it's on the outside of the volume knob. Turn it clockwise until the noise cuts out.

I have no idea what he's done then, other than butcher your radio.

Another good cb shop is Bob's CB Shop in Strattanville,Pa at exit 70 on I-80. I've had several radio's done there and never had a problem with them. He knows his stuff and wont steer you wrong.

i bought an antenna from Bob this past week. his shop is on I80 in PA at exit 70 on the north side of the interstate. it is across the street from that closed truck stop.

it is one of the few places that offer free SWR checks, and when you buy an antenna, they install it and set the SWrs. not too many places do that anymore.
