Ask the company to put all the things they want you to do illegally in WRITING or inform them that you record all phone calls...:dark1:

Even if they put it writing still don't break the law but having it writing give evidence to both the dot and an attorney later on if they retaliate.

You don't hear too much negativity about MVT.

I've met an MVT driver in Albuquerque who's only complaint was having to run illegal to get loads delivered on time.

MVT has almost always ran hot.

Their bad safety numbers reflect this................

we will get to the yard a short distance empty.
i have seen slobs who want to go home and dump it on the night shift wind up with 2 flats or a ruined air bag
i was behind an empty swift running empty with a flat for several hours so he could drop and hook and his rubber took out my fan belt.
i have also seen many impot cars disabled by can haulers running with flats throwing rubber.accident report time

i have limped 2 miles with a flat but that was just b/c that was the next offramp i could get to and i was parked on the side of the interstate with a flat. not a very safe place to b. as for the runnin illegal, i have found that when u refuse 2 "bend" the rules for the company they retaliate by not giving u miles and starving u to death. i work for a company that done this junk. i finally said c/ya. i'm about to get out all together, until they start gettin stuff done to shippers and recievers for taking too long to ld or unld, its just not worth it for met o be out here anymore. when all ya make in a month is 1100 bucks and u was out whole month, something is wrong... also, like the others said, its YOUR choice to run illegal or not. if u get money taken out of ur check b/c a ld is late b/c of HOS then get an attorney. b/c i don't see how that can b legal. just my opinion

wow!!! all u made was $1100/mo with a company! I don't blame you for leaving because I wouldn't even get out of bed for $ 1100mo. If they retaliate against you for not running illegal, report them with documentation because you are protected under the whistleblower protection act.

uhhh,,,,it's more than 10,000 miles a month, to get Health Insurance. It's 13,000 miles a month. 3 months/39,000 in a qtr., per year. That's just 3,250 miles average, per week, just to get Health Insurance! Hey, do they have a Plan where a driver can at least pay x$ month for it? See this, from their website:

"Company Employees are eligible for benefits after 120 days of Full-Time employment. To qualify for a full-time employment, a solo driver MUST average 39,000 miles per quarter and Team drivers 54,000 miles per quarter. Employees that fail to maintain the full-time status on any one quarter will be ineligible for any of the full-tme company benefits.I.E.Medical, and 401K Retirement Plan."

Wow, this company is doing everything possible to minimize outflows; i.e. it is driver pay is screwed. I'm glad I have a choice. It sure won't be Mesilla Valley!!:biggrin_25523:

That is biggest bunch BS i have seen. 3250mi week is not hard but with the state of the economy you will not avg 3250mi wk. That's just a cheap way of saying to heck with your benefits we don't care.
