What are these terms you speak of?
    What do they mean...
    Live Load/Unload?
    Hot Load?
    T-Call?

    Anymore?

Live Load/Unload is the only one I can help you with. xD

"Live" means that you're backed in a dock and they're either loading or unloading you while you wait.

Hot load... my mind went straight to the gutter... sorry.

Hot load means no delay and as fast as you can get a load there.

T Call is a term used for the Qualcomm.
It's a macro you use to check call to send in loaded info or some such thing that a company wants to know. But it's on the satellite communications system that a lot of companies use to keep tabs on you. call it Big Brother

JT or JIT - just in time

Similar to a hot load, but under no circumstance can a driver be late on a delivery deadline. The truck company can be fined for late JT loads. Drivers can be terminated.

    HV - High Value Load

These are loads that are valued at significant amounts of money. Very expensive loads. Think furniture or electronics. When I worked at Knight, I hauled a trailer full of Red Bull that had a security bolt on a trailer instead of a regular seal. The value exceeded 80,000 dollars....for mere energy drinks! High value? Very.

T-call, "T" means transfer. You are assigned a load but don't deliver it to its destination, you are dropping it in a terminal/drop yard and it's transferred to another driver.

Drop and Hook - drop an empty or loaded trailer at a shipper/receiver and pick up another trailer, depending on where you are, that will either be empty or loaded.

Example, drop and hook at a receiver with a loaded trailer, you will be picking up an empty trailer. Do this at a shipper and you'll likely be dropping an empty to pick up a loaded trailer.

T-call can mean temperature check too if you are hauling reefer. They want you to call in your temps twice a day.
