Hey. I'm trying to get a car hood from Washington, PA to Texas (or somewhere close). It's 61" wide x 64.5 tall, 3" deep, typical of a early 1970's car. Where can I post an ad to find a truck going from PA to Texas? I can get the hood owner to drop the hood wherever the truck might already be onloading... any help or ideas is appreciated (I already tried posting ads on craigslist and backpage, 1 month no results).
Thanks. Rick
Where do I post an ad to get single item moved?

Get a quote from UPSfreight. They have a terminal in Houston,PA.

Thanks guys. I thought UPS had a 58x58x6 limit, but that might be old info or just a max box size. I'll give them both a shot. I kept hoping I'd find a trucker just happening to be going from PA to TX, but that's just not happening.

You might look at a LTL (less than truckload) carrier >> ABF, UPS, Yellow, R & L, SAIA are some that come to mind. Google " LTL Freight " and it should give you some options of a carrier.

i would try ups--that is who i use for car parts-not sure about a hood size tho
but it doesnt hurt to ask -
ups freight is a whole different ball game. these are tractor trailers, nor brown box trucks.
or you could try new penn.
or conway.
I used to ship single pallets of hvac units from a warehouse thru new penn and ups freight. -
TSI came in at $246, which is very reasonable. I'm having trouble convincing the owner hood of the hood to box it though. Always something. UPS hasn't called me back after 2 days.... guess they're busy.

You can post it at uship dot com.

I must be boxed.. I don't know a driver in his right mind that would take anything like that not in a box... That's a claim waiting to happen!!!
