I did this back in my food service days
Otr fits me better ... More quality time I guess
Depending on your company
Tanking u can expect 1-2 days for every 6/7 on the truck -
ah ok, I'm so used to having a couple days off a week, i think that would be hard

I was an owner operator leased to United Petroleum Transports for 3 years. Was home nights and off weekends. Made good money until early 09 when everyone started cutting rates.
I hauled oil for 2 years before UPT and am hauling oil again for Sunoco. Get 2 days off week and home every night. Gross 2200 every 2 weeks with good benefits. Plains pays more and both companies hire in many locations. -
Thats how much the guy at Highway Transport said the drivers average at my location, and you'd be gone maybe 2-3 nights a week. Not sure if I should believe it. Can't seem to find anybody that works for them on these forums. My mechanic also said those newer macks arent very good.

I don't work for them but I do pull a tanker and word has it that Highway is one of the best company's out there to work for as far as yanking a tanker goes.
