I am here now. It is beautiful and I was able to run the speed limit all day. You can tell they had a storm but the interstates were plowed and for the most part dry. Its a clear night and supposed to get down to around 8 tonight. We will see how the state roads look tomorrow. I am about 40 miles from the plant.

I got up to Rumford this morning 15 minutes before my delivery appointment. The address is a big paper mill. I called my contact person only to get voice mail. Called another # on the bills and am told they are not expecting this load until next week.
Finally after dispatch sorts it all out I am delivering this load in Lynchburg Va at 1600 Thursday. It seems the customer decided to reschedule the load due to the blizzard but didn't tell us. Load went from Greensboro to Lynchburg via Rumford Maine. Thats going to be a big shipping bill for about 120 miles. -

you will be at a good terminal, gary in dispatch is a good dude.

True what you said but it sounds like someone in Oak Brook is screwing around with the rules again. Max 50 miles limit from a terminal and they turn down an ex wallyworld driver with 27 years experience for living a few miles too far away.
Did the same thing last year to a guy from this board who had 30 years in with Superior. He lived in NC, was working out of Kingsport and got laid off when they cut back big time. Mac wanted to hire him but it got turned down. Guy now drives for Groendyke. I think they are real sensitive to transfers terminal to terminal and that is causing some of this.
I also have one of the new Qualcom units in my truck. Santa must have brought it and his elves left no directions for its use. It beeps at you for everything and the sound is wired into the trucks stereo system. Works even with the radio off.
Any RPM over 1700 and speed above 67 and you get a beep and alert. Its a nice upgrade but like most technology if the guys monitoring you want to nit pick it will be a real PITA. I can't wait for some of the O/O comments if their version does the same stuff mine does. -
did milk come out your nose?
