You really have to follow the OP's other threads! Even though the $.22 is true the OP's job status and history doesn't jive very well as before Christmas he's on about Werner or someone not getting him home for christmas. THEN his children seem to get younger and older and didn't get any christmas and when you read back some it appears that a female is posting under his screen name! Someone will figure it out!

My ex-husband was a flight engineer on Chinook helicopters in the Army. We were in Germany when Bill Clinton made his first trip over there. Ex-hubby's unit was tasked with flying the Press Corps around. Ms. Thomas was, of course, among them. At the time, she bore a striking resemblance to Momma from Throw Momma From the Train.

So everybody, for months afterward, would greet each other with "Throw Helen from the helicopter."

I disagree with your reasoning for that low pay & splitting the miles. The difference with being a driver OTR vs working in an office is that even while you are "sleeping" & NOT getting paid, you are still in their "office" having to abide by their company rules So you are really never off-duty, per se. It's not like you can tell your co-driver, :drop me off here while you do your driving time so I can play for a while. Pick me up in 11 hrs when it's my turn to drive". I believe a fair pay would be each driver gets paid 75% of miles the truck moves. It's not like you can leave the "office" & come back to work the next day! SINCE YOU MUST FOLLOW COMPANY RULES, YOU SHD BE PAID! You are NEVER off duty!

Then go home and work in an office.

The pay that's stated in the O/P sucks but to expect to be paid while you sleep is unrealistic. Team operations have always split the miles...But the mileage rate has never sucked as bad as the rate that this person "CLAIMS" that he/She/It is supposedly being paid.

The whole thread is rendered moot by the fact that the O/P has come in here and told so many stories that don't make sense and/or seem to be flat out lies that the credibility issues far outweigh the claims!
