Alco Transport out of Detroit MI. Runs out of Detroit to Ontario Canada. Buffalo NY through Canada. Detroit to West side of the state and also the great city of Gary IN. I got a '05 Pete 379 and a '08 six axle Mac flatbed trailer. Home almost every night and weekends are off but if you want to work more you can. Insurance with small co-pay for family, 401K no company match though. $60K for the year on 23% of the load. Great company to work for and always looking for people with right attitudes. Hard work but rewarding. We do run loose leaf logs! so this might not be for everyone.

US Xpress.....Got hired on April 22, 09....I went there for several reasons.

Automatics (have arthritis in my clutch knee)...get to bring the truck home and park in right in my drive only 10 ft. from my front door!!!!!...and Orientation was only 6hrs away so my son could have come and got me if needed.

I'm getting to be happy being there. It was a little rough at first, but now my daytime M-F Dispatcher and I are getting along really good and she looks out for me.

Norsemen Trucking has been in existence since 1979. Started in Waseca Minn. Started the Lake Mills Iowa location in 1987.2002 was when they formed their specialized division. So yes they have been around awhile.

I work for Truck Service, Inc. in Forest City, NC. I went with them because I had gotten tired of driving locally. I guess I'm just a road dog who belongs out here. I picked them because they have LESS than 100 trucks, do NOT hire newbies, get me home for full weekends, pay very well, all the staff knows my name and call me by it when I walk into the offices, and best of all? You actually get to meet the owner personally.
