I had a driver get mad at dispatch while he was on the road, then he decided to turn his phone off and he came back home with a full load...He back tracked over 580 miles and left a nice little note that says I quit...Im thinking about taking him to small claims court for wasted fuel back to our yard...Not sure if that will work or not ...Any ideas on what I should do?

Screw up his DAC report, like all the rest of the bottom feeders do.

Talk to a lawyer with employment law knowledge to find out what you can and cannot do.

i think you should get the full story on what happened. maybe dispatch did something. if he's been a loyal and good worker i would get in touch with him and find out what happened. people freak out sometimes we're human. not trying to make an excuse for him but you never know what is going threw someone else's mind when they make irrational and quick decisions like that.

What are the steps to report a bad driver to the DAC Report?

We will not pay him anything for the drive up or back, but in the end we still lose on all the fuel to come back home... Im considering small claims court.
