Marten Transportation SUCKS!!!!!

I like how these company cheerleaders couple hours of service with how poorly a company treats their drivers.......then comes on here and indirectly shows how insensitive they are to real life situations.........i taste vomit

How can the driver not get log violations and earn an income if he is sitting all the time. He just got his dispatcher changed because she told him to drive anyway. He refused to do it and reported her to her supervisor. She also told him that if he came home on Thursday for christmas and left out on sunday it would be considered 4 days at home. after 3 weeks out he was not entitled to that time off. When he questioned that, her supervisor replied no that was incorrect information. So where is the truth? How can a driver be legal if his dispatcher is telling him to use line 5, then writing him up for doing so. And where is the home time and "Family Oriented" company we were told about?

 

I think we've gotten the point . . .

 

If some of these people would get out from behind their desks and see what the REAL WORLD is like instead of playing games with you drivers, maybe the industry could improve. But until someone makes them stop hiding I don't see any hope for the future.

 

When he is told to drive reguardless what is he to do? He has stated that he does not have the hours. Then they take his load, repower it, and make him sit or shag trailers without pay. He does know his hours, and he is on the the new log system. They can see his numbers whenever they want to!

 

i feel bad for your situation...i hope you can find a company up there in wisconsin that is ethical and not unholy like this marten cult is......ive seen companies like this go down...happens every day.......dont waste time...just get out of that marten environment

 

Thanks. This is the first time I have got to vent MY frustrations wit Marten. I hear his all the time. It feels so good to let it out, and know someone hears me. We have a couple of things to accomplish before he can leave. He is finishing up a work comp case with a former employer so we need his income to show for paychecks after his surgery, and while he is recovering we are going to find another company when he can do real research and not just continue to blindly jump from the frying pan and into hell.

 

There are companies that will hire him.....smaller companies seem to treat drivers and their families better........dick lavy out of ohio is ok.....they r not too strict and treatment is better....there are others......but dont waste time.....dont let the agony linger.......get out of that environment...so many good drivers have been thrown under the bus at marten...then u realize how important time is........your family desrves and will get better........there are smaller companies who treat drivers better.....and thus he and you will be happy and advance ahead......once you get him out of the marten environment....good luck and holidayshappy

 

See, this is the classic example of a driver wronged by marten transport...........wife is looking for answers so that her man....the patriach of the family...is trying to make ends meet......from my experience i put my spouse thru so much agony.....bouncing from company to company....i just put my cap backwards and made the money....ran the miles...and did what i had to do.........i made most of my good money with smaller comanies...........take advantage....life is too short to be giving it away to predator companies like this...........do your research and dont listen to your buddies....they will book you a looser.....follow your own instinct
