If these new hours of service rules are adopted, E.T.'s weekly resets are gonna suffer. There will be times it will turn into a 48 hour or even a 53 hour reset.![]()

One of the thing about these new rules that really shows us how clueless and out of touch these idiots are is the 48 hour reset.
So if you get home at 1800 on Friday your boss might want you back on the road to run hard 48 hours later at 1800 on Sunday. I don't know about you but my bodies clock won't allow me to work until 1000 am on Monday morning after a weekend off.
In fact I won't flip my clock around like that because the Government says I have too. You guys be safe, your about to have more freight available than you ever thought possible when a good majority of us leave this once fine and noble profession in droves.JimDriv3r Thanks this. -
Not a 48 hour reset still can be a 34 hour reset...get home on friday at 1800, legal under the new rule at 0600 on Sunday. Satisfies the two periods of midnight to 6am. Makes this reset 36 hours. Even though you have many years of experience, you are mistaken on the new proposed rules.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
Thanks for the clarification in the familiar condescending tone that we have all grown accustomed to here Tlea. Be safe.

your the one who claims the idiots are changing it to 48 hours...
Plain and simple language so that people do understand what you posted is incorrect.
You take that as condescending, so be it. -
I just talked to a driver he said they did away with that load option program....when i was there they did send me a 2 load option and they both wer going to the same place east coast main and philly....lol.....but they lied to me and i turned in my truck before i left with the load so short lived for me with crete but i know drivers that are happy with crete..... -
I will agree with this post 100%........ -
Actually the State isn't paying for the training, everyone that lives in that state and pays taxes is paying for the training. A small point but one that shouldn't be overlooked.
Hott Rodd Thanks this. -
Happy New Year to all my fellow Crete, Shaffer, and Hunt drivers and O/O's! Let's hope we not only get a nice raise and better miles in 2011, but that we all make it alive and well to 2012!
bowlwinkle, Jarhed1964, supersnackbar and 1 other person Thank this. -
I for one would just be happy if they'd start responding to us on the q/comm without begging, pleading or threatening! Oh, and making it through the year alive would be a plus too...I guess..if I had to, I mean.
I turned 127,000+ paid miles (133,000+ on the odometer)this year...and grossed $500+ more than my best year before the recession... Which means, I only ran 6000 miles more than I was paid...not a bad OOR average. Still one of the best things I can say about Crete...they pay more accurately on miles driven than any other company I've ever worked for.The Challenger and Son of a Trucker Thank this.
