As far as the RF power, it really helps to know what each setting is on a watt meter. I would say med or hi. If you dont have a watt meter, get a radio check from a distant station. Check all three settings with the person giving the check. Ask him what his signal meter reads and how you sound. Some of these export radios have had truck stop ''technicians'' put their golden screwdriver to them and they sound like over modulated crap. So when you get your radio check, be sure to ask how clear you sound.
NB/ANL- I always leave mine on. It takes care of most of the electrical interference. Really cleans up your recieve.
I've never had a 33 so I cannot comment on the Band switches. Since this radio does not have a freq counter, put your channel selector on 19 and then go thru the bands. If you are close to an interstate, this will work.
Do not transmit until you know that you are on the cb band. If you hear truckers on 19, you are on the CB band. Leave your hi/low and your A-F switches on that band and you will be at the correct spot. -
Cb band is "A" with band switch on high. Channel 19 of course.

Last place on earth I would ever spend another dollar with,Mike once ran a good shop
I have two of his builds from years ago and they do all right.
Do your home work before buying anything from RadioActive
Sparky's is a well known shop to buy from online
Compair Al's prices against Mikes and its a no brainer, why spend 2-$300 more
for the same net wattage per radio? -
I agree, stay away from Radioactive and go to Sparkys.com.
Radioactive is a hackjob shop. -
WAIT ....

Are they not the home of the supper wack job
-
Perhaps kor b really meant to say wackjob shop.

Recently purchased from Sparkys and am more than satisfied with the equipment I received, 919 Galaxy with a Wilson 1000 mag mount. Tx and Rx most excellant in this combo. Also ordered a Predator 10k and am very happy with it on my pu truck.
