Well, I found out that I am going out on Tuesday for Evo II. The guy's name is Barron and his truck number stars with a 1. I'll let you guys know how that goes!

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I got my pre-hire letter and am finishing up my paperwork for them. I am done with CDL school the end of the month and hope to do orientation shortly after. They said I would do orientation in Gary, IN, but since I am going in the 7/4-7/3 fleet, my drop yard would be
E. St Louis. -
Hope it goes well for you.

Man there are a lot of people going to Roehl these days, soon they are gonna be huge. I am scheduled for orientation on July 16th a week after I graduate from TDDS. Aslo a buddy of mine from school also got in with them and they are renting us a car so we don't have to ride in a bus the whole way there. Also Stacy my recruiter is going to try and get us the same hotel room so were aren't bunkin with someone we don't know.
Everyone I have talked to at Roehl is a lot nicer than most and they tell you the truth and not promising you 3200 mile a week right off the bat to get you to come work for them. Stacy told me and my buddy that an average of miles a week is 2400 to 2600, which is a good average, my brother has been driving for 5 months now and that is about his average(he was promised 3000 to 3200 by his company). I can't wait to get started with them, I will be driving national flatbed(want the 2 extra cents plus tarp pay) and I will be relocating to Kennesaw, Ga in October. They also said they can help out with some extra hometime for that and just schedule my next restart at my new home.
Good luck drivers! -
Hubby is picking up a student in Gary, Ind. on Saturday the 12th.

I met one of your drivers thats been there for a number of years, want to say 8 but not sure. he said he loves it there and roehl really takes care of him there. He stays out for 3 weeks and takes multiple days off in a row. You new drivers out there, that is one great benifit,if you stay out you can take more vacations driving a truck than any other job out there. You should be at every planned family event you want to driving a truck,as long as you have time to plan for it.Best of luck to you drivers.

Got my hire letter! Will be starting on 6/4 in Gary on the 7/4-7/3 fleet.
Has anyone here heard anything about the E St Louis yard? They told me that is where I will be dispatched out of. -
hey guys and girls just got back from my orientation with roehl transport. I am so happy to report that all went great with orientation. My first day they took me out for a road test to see how i handled truck. That went well and i was found satisfactory. I do need to get used to driving a freightliner because all i drove before was a volvo. shifting i know gets better in time. they gave me a test for hazmat and i scored a 100 on it. we spent time filling out paperwork, getting our id and other cards. we learned alot about driving safely. I stayed at the best western hotel and it was a very nice hotel. They paid for our luches and dinners and the food was great. Just to let you know roehl has alot of great people working for them. They all was so kind and very helpful. roehl is big on safety which is a great thing. I am schedualed for evolution 1 on may 13th which is this sunday. i will be gone for around 10 to 12 days then i will have a couple of days off and will go out for evolution 2 for another 10 to 12 days. I feel so excited and i am so glad i picked roehl. There trucks are in great shape. They also take good care of there trailers. The thing I was glad tofind out was they do not use recap tires. they only use solid thread tires. well i will keep you all posted on everything. good luck to you all out there and be safe.
