Where do you get the vboards? You don't have space on the truck to store them, do you? Oh, and does SWIFT uses spread axles on all their flatbed trailers?

I found a way to carry v boards legally on my truck took some creative thought!!!

Was that barrel load at Climax Materials or ASARCO? I used to get lots of Molly loads out of the big San Manuel smelter before they closed it. sure wish the Copper mining industry in Arizona was booming like 25yrs ago, I'd be able to get home anytime I want.

Dont you have a nice area under the front of the trailer to put V boards and stuff like that?

I don't nor have I ever worked with swift but from the treads I have read, I believe a t-call is when a driver takes a load from say Maine to Florida but can't make it on time due to HOS, he will drive as far as he can then t call it. Basically what that means is he gives the trailer to another driver and they finish the route. I believe a B-service is just a service that swift mechanics perform on the truck.

Please correct me if i am wrong with any of this!
    Thanks

t-call is when i drop a load off at a terminal to be repowered or delivered by another driver later on. I do this quite frequently in Laredo because i cannot drive in Mexico. Or if i pick up a load and it doesn't deliver for a while so you drop it off at a terminal near its final.
b-service is the 35,000mi service. Oil change, grease points if the can reach them, usually they get most of em, some grease on the 5th wheel.

Yeah i do. But i don't keep a trailer long enough to keep stuff stored on it. so i keep everything on my truck. When you go through 3-4 trailers a week, it gets kinda old dragging a bunch of wood around.

Ok here is the update. I emptied out on the 30th of december. Spent the rest of the 30th -1st in Wilmington terminal. Relocated to fontana for a shower. Sat in fontana till the 4th, got a load of lumber to run up to Salt Lake City deliver it tommorrow am. Currently sitting at the old flying j in Payson Utah. I like it its closed and quite!! Ill take some pictures of this lumber load tommorrow am. This is a runner up for one of the ugliest lumber loads ever!!
Forklift guy tried stacking me almost 15 feet high .....What a trip.:biggrin_2551:
