I read not long ago where the soot levels in the cab(even going down the highway) are 1000 times the safe limit for a truck driver. If you think about it, we follow other trucks all day, and there soot comes in our cab air intakes.
-
Keep the intakes closed, the a/c on recirculate, and make sure the idiots you work for didn't remove the air filter from the a/c intake like so many do to save a few cents.
-
We also need to undersand that Ferro's an idiot with an agenda!

Something to think about:
"The report contains anecdotal references to truck driver life expectancy in the owner-operator and Teamster segments of the industry. John Siebert of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association reported at the 2003 conference that OOIDA data suggests that the average age of death for its members is 55.7 years. Siebert also said that Teamsters union drivers have a life expectancy of 63, citing a union source."
This is the part of the article that got my attention.
Why do you suppose that Union drivers live an average of 7-8 years longer than their non-union, independent counter parts??? Could it be better lifestyle, more rest, more home time, better pay, more job satisfaction, having a life OUTSIDE of the #### truck???
