It's sad how these godless companies take advantage of new drivers. The mystical 1 year experience is all a farse anyway, you go to apply at your new job and then they want 2 yrs....then u get 2 yrs and oh, we want 3 yrs. So you tough it out for another year and oh oh ohhhhh...were not hiring in your area, the excuses go on forever.

I think this will begin to change when CSA 2010 starts it will be interesting to watch!

My husband worked for CRST and from the get go he had problems. It started out with them taking almost a month to even get him on a truck and things just went downhill from there. Once he got done with his training they make you find a codriver and they will hire anybody it seems. The codrivers my husband ended up with either didnt want to do their job or thought they were boss. Let me tell you though my husband has no problem being a team player but if noone has told you that you r boss then he doesnt sit well with you trying to be. The last codriver he got stuck with is a convicted felon and by law CRST cant tell you this but you would think with a company that runs teams they wouldnt hire someone convicted of assault and battery. My husband had to deal with this guy constantly threatening to do harm to him. But for people that do drive for CRST you know how hard it is to get another codriver. Not to mention when my husband told them what his partner was doing they did nothing. On top of that everytime payday rolled around my husband was having to call and get his pay fixed where they screwed up. He would also have to sit for days waiting on a load and would only average about 1500 miles a week. Thank god he is away from them now and he doesnt have to spend a month away from his family. The ones here they say we that complain about this company then it was probably our fault should step into our shoes. I personally believe most all the complaints on here because my family has dealt with this company and for the ones that say how good CRST is do you really drive for them or do you sit in a cozy office share and not actually deal with what all these hardworking truckers really go through? I mean no disrespect to anyone but if you havent dealt with the bad then dont say its our fault. Thank you and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

OK,I dont get out much....But with everything you have just said..,WHY would ANYONE put up with that?? THAT is the 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 $ question.
-
I would be willing to sleep for 22 cents a mile. Where do I get that deal?
-
that is exactly y he left them! we got sick and tired of the bs but i dont appreciate the people on here that say its our fault when they havent been in our shoes!

republicans are in office now. no rules or regulations for " business " such as the clever criminals who open and close " trucking companies" and the illerate truckers who get hired and fired by them at will by buying the republican politician to provide " business " cover that lets them get away with the biggest scam there is, the transportaion "business" of hiring desperate people, and those who have drug, alcohol and mental problems are the employee of choice for most companies and the so called intelligent trucker votes for these toadies who cut their throats and laughs at them on the way out the door. Just take a look at the wages and scams most companies use to steal every single penny a driver makes under any circumstance. And the gov. is just as stupid, allowing these companies a 800 dollar deduction for each driver they hire. that is why 30 or 40 drivers show up each week at a loser company for orientation and they don't care if anyone stays because they are getting close to a millon bucks off their bottom. so why a keep driver, any driver, who offers up any complaints, especially about being paid, not be shown the door or quit because of the idle time of driving only 200 or 300 miles per day. It is a criminal enterprise that drivers line up for each and every day. The good jobs out there have been taken long ago. driving a truck now is just another way of being homeless, except you are in a truck and you cannot even idle it anymore to keep warm or cool in many states you are perhaps more safe and can feed yourself but in most instances you will live day to day in a truck just getting by and you will go crazy. Not getting out of a truck every few weeks will do that to anybody. It is a revolving door of take it or leave it and most people leave it becasue as other drivers have posted, assuming you can get a job at some local hamburger joint is a better option. IF you are willing to devote the 5 to 10 yrs. required to move your way up by hook and by crook then the pay off might be better, but the hours required to do this are staggering and you will still have to survive the politics at work somehow. Take the 3 or 4 million drivers now working for minimum wage driving a truck out of the truck and you would have an additional 3 or 4 million drivers trying to fight for a spcae under a bridge. I heard a woman on the radio being interviewed in South Carolina the other day. She considered herself a middle class person by making 25k/year. With such idiots as that voting, what help is there for this country
JimDriv3r and scottied67 Thank this.
