Got a question guys?????If you are an own/op what are your average miles a month what are you guys taking home after all expenses except your truck payment.

to be straight up what are they cutting you guys cheques for if you are an own/op at the end of a month. what company are you working for?what type of work flatbed, longhaul, super-b, etc... bring it guys no B.S.

I personally would not darken the door of either of these, but like they say, experience is expensive and there is no teacher like experience.

Deck freight means super B's , and tri axles and so on, which means more weight which means lower fuel economy. I get 3mpg hauling what I do. 04 KW T800 with a C15. Even empty I am up at 32000kg.

I pull minimum eight axles, fuel mileage right now has been 2.99 miles per gallon. Whatever fuel mileage you get is not the critical number, the critical one is the money you are pulling in. You can get ten miles per gallon but if the money is not there you are still going broke.

Average mileage for me is 14,500 per month, take home cash varies depending on the course of events during the previous month.

Yes and no. It is not what you make but what you keep.

Making $10000/mnth and it costing you $6000 is not better or worse than Making $7500/mnth and it costing you $3500

I am not saying waste fuel but to operate at some low rate you are beat before you start no matter how lean you run. Working cheap will wear you and your truck out and you will be no further ahead and like many others could go broke while working hard and doing a good job.

When your pulling 70 to 80 tons in mountain terrain with grades anywheres from 8 to 20% your going to burn fuel, a lot of fuel.
