When looking for my truck I noticed that trucks with wet kits were generally not as in as good of condition as trucks without them. Seems most of them do more local work and are used in dirt pits alot, that seems to take a harder toll on a truck than one that is used over the road.
I would also be concerned about the weight. I don't know how much a wet kit weighs but many places you pull for want you to be able to haul that magic 48000 lbs. I'm pushing that already with all my equipment. I can haul it with my combo trailer but my all steel trailer can only get 48k with a quarter tank of fuel.
Also alot of places want you to have a headache rack. Some flatbedders don't but occasionally a place requires it just like the 48 k. I don't want to limit myself.
