i checked the maps. i'm in the glass area and on the fringe of flat bed. if you've been up 52 north up fancy gap you've been by my town. i can go to the top of the ridge and watch people go up fancy gap on I-77 north

They've been hiring reefers for certain areas for at least six months that I know of(I rolled by North Little Rock and they had a sign, "Now hiring for reefers") I used to work for Schneider out of Laurinburg, then it became Maverick, I don't know if they fixed the pay but they told me I wasn't going to get the pay increase that Maverick drivers got. I was still going to be paid at .28cpm so I was out.

Either I'm misunderstanding you...or that is BS.

I was there when Maverick bought Schneider Specialized...they gave us a pay raise as soon as they took ownership. (on the regular non-oversize loads)

The oversize load pay took a hit though...Schneider was paying 55 cents per mile, Maverick decided to just add 5 cents to the regular mileage pay or something like that...its been too long, but the oversize pay went down by several cents per mile...and is one of the reasons I got out of that division.

The future doesn't look bright for Maverick in the glass industry, I kinda always thought it wouldn't work for Maverick...glass hauling doesn't fit Mavericks profile (glass hauling requires flexibility)...I don't want to elaborate on that because it is speculation on my part...but I live right in the heart of it...this is not stuff I heard, its stuff I see.

I was there too, IN Laurinburg, they day they were set to take over. I had already been told that we weren't getting raises or trucks turned up to 68.
