Also I don't know if coincidence or by planning but every big holiday, new years, christmas, labor day, memorial day, takes me near home with 36 hours to spare. Weird.

I do like them, if only they could give me 78mph instead of 65. I told them they could shave .05cpm off my pay.

I'm just going to wait, saving up to lease from a real leasing company. Those Volvo 780's look hot.

Hey there TWHMan- I have a few questions for you about Butler if you don't mind answering them? I have been interested in them for awhile. I see them passing through my area, Pittsburgh, frequently.

    1. Is there an average length of haul?
    2. Do you drop and hook loads much?
    3. Do you do much in the southeast, NC, SC, GA, FL?
    4. Do you spend much time waiting to get loaded or unloaded?

    Thanks a bunch.

    1. It depends, sometimes you can get caught in the Nestle loop as I like to call it. If you can imagine running from Streetsboro, OH to south of SLC. 3 times in a little over a week. 1700 miles each way. But sometimes you can get the Streetsboro to SC, to AR back to OH. I've pulled 75 mile loads to 1800. It's really a crap shoot, BUT they always have a preplan.

    2. Most of the time. Depends on where you go, Nestle you always drop and hook.

    3. I know of drivers that live in North Florida, but I've never gone there. But not too much time in the south east, or north east.

    4. Its reefer, when you go to a grocery warehouse that's how it is. I've been unloaded in 15 minutes or waited nine hours.

The biggest problem I have with them is that other dispatchers are not nearly as awesome as Bob and they may have you swapping loads a little more than normal. But expect to only go to Kansas City for Orientation, and when you need service. I hope you like the Flying J in Indy, you will be there a lot.

Expect a lot of sub zero loads.

Another thing, for guys who like inverters. Buy the inverter and kit to install, take it to the yard and they will install it for free! I just can't say enough good things to about these guys.

well I hate to re-track what I say but in my past post all was going well, but the new has worn off of me now and all I can say is there is a large wall that divides the saftey dept from the Dispatch because all though they talk saftey that has no bearing at all with the dispatch office, they flat DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFTEY ! sad but Very true ! they have a very large turn over and it is easy to see why. :biggrin_25513:

I had Bob Evans as my dispatcher and he was always good to me. I finally had to leave because I was being held up too much by certain customers and not being paid. If they would update their pay package to something a bit more reasonable, I would go back in a heartbeat. 23 cpm and no detention pay just isnt cutting it...
