1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

    Finn,.........

My point to the op was that it did not pay enough for a open car hauler to touch it,...Let alone an enclosed hauler,...

Try a transport company. I worked for one for awhile, and one of the runs they gave me was driving a mercedes from Birmingham, Alabama to West Palm. Sweet ride that was!

Not even a Hotshot will touch it for that price on an open wedge trailer. You will almost have to double the price to get it in an enclosed trailer. I used to hotshot cars for a living on a 48 ft wedge and that price is low for back then and that was about 8 years ago.

A common load board for hot shot car haulers is called central dispatch.

But I would open the options and go with someone pulling a wedge trailer. That way your car is not under another car etc. Bump the price to areound 1,500 on a open wedge and you might get it moved as long as it is COD.

I run a step deck open and I wouldn't touch it for that. not even as a fill out. that isn't even enough to pay the insurance.

Still trying to figure out why it required an enclosed trailer.

Me too. He never bothered to answer it. Seems like he is going to try to bring it across the border on the sly since he lists as being from Calgary now. If it went via a carrier he'd have paperwork to deal with.
