Welcome to the forum, born4trucking! This is a great place to learn about all things related to trucking. There are lots of new drivers here as well as drivers with lots of experience... so when you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. You'll get plenty of answers.

As you read the posts here on the forum, I think you'll see where a lot of what you're learning now can be applied to driving. You'll need your English courses so that you can read and understand all the rules and regulations that a driver must know. Your science classes will teach you the laws of physics and properties about and how to secure some of the freight you may haul. Math will give you the skills to do such things as calculating your mileage, determining how many hours you can drive each day and how many hours you must rest, knowing where to place the tandems on your trailer, as well as many other things a trucker does every day.

Truckers also have to pass a physical test as well, so even physical education contributes toward your goal! So if you have days when you are tired of doing schoolwork, just remember that it's all in preparation for your career.

It's good to have you here!

    PurpleKW and Volvo92906 Thank this.

Well, maybe Ben Franklin had good intentions, but I'm always at peace with my vices, at war with my neighbors, and each year I feel that much older... :biggrin_25523:
