They are having a little turnover ... Here but the main reason
99.5 % is because they switched to paperless logs ...
But I love paperless so that is a good thing for me ...
You can make money running legal ... Lots of it ..
Most of the turnover is IC .. As they go to install the new qualcomms ... They are not even giving it a chance from what I've been told ...
Anyway ... You either adapt now or you will have to quit trucking all together because it's the wave of the future ...
You must be willing to change with the times like it or not .. If you give these logs a chance you will like them ...
They
Keep your hours

do you get much hometime being an IC for tanker companies?
-
Go home when u want ... You run your own biz
When u get home u tell them when u wanna go back outHeavy Handed Thanks this. -
Yeah, I realize that, but if you dont' work you dont get paid.
Can you get much home time and still be profitable, I guess is what I'm asking. -
I worked with a couple of o/o from fort on a job I was working on last year and they were very happy with the co. They were out of the la office and had nothing but good to say. Told me that they profit after expenses on a slow week $2000.00 and were usually home on weekends and once during the week, let me know if this is accurate. They spoke so well of fort I called them myself but they said they wouldn't have many runs headed to coastal sc so it probably wouldn't work good for me. Hope it goes well for you. Keep posted.

Varies week to week wigglez
And really depends on your cost of doing biz .. So what works for me may not be the same for you .... Biggest factor is
Truck payment
Household expenditures -
Now I have
No truck note
1100.00 monthly house
800.00 on cars ( 2 vechiles)
500.00 in alimony
Then your regular stuff
Tv
Elec
Etc
I do fine !!! -
Also pay 424.00 monthly for health insurance
-
So I guess in short ....
You will avg in tank $1.50 to $1.70 per running mile with a good tank outfit ...
It depends on above figs as to what and when you go home ... Personally I go home every 6-8 days for 2 sometime 3
And other factors to consider
Is it profitable to stay out longer ?
Depends if the freight is flowing if it is then yes
Other cost of doing business to consider
Escrow
Plates
Fuel
Insurances
But everyones cost per mike or per week varies so it's really depends on your biz model and expenditures to answer the question
But yes if you can afford it u can go home as u please ... The freight is there if u want it ...dieselsmoke343 and MoneyCat Thank this.
